I’m sailing on Allure in July and I’ve only been able to make a reservation once, even though I know they switch up the show.  How do I register multiple times?

You can't - they are typically limited to only once per sailing.

I'm confused.  I saw two Comedy Show options and selected the one offered at 7ish as I understood that there are 2 comedy shows - family friendly and after 9:00pm for adults.  Is this incorrect?  How do I know which one is family friendly?  I went under each offer and it looks like they have the same description with the exception of a note listed at the bottom.

The adult one is the I mentioned which usually you can only book once - the family friendly would be the earlier one.

the show is the same in the Comedy Club 9 with differences in taste level for under 18s and the adults only show)

The show in the Amber theater is completely different. Last week it did not require reservations.

Spectacular dinner in chops tonight. I was on anthem last month and was starting to lose faith in chops but they really came through tonight- and what a venue Central Park is to enjoy a nice dinner!

We opted to sit outside at chops. Gentle breeze - twilight lights in the trees. The setting Totally reminded me of a beautiful night we spent in Paris long ago. It started w/a pianist who switched to Will, who is an amazing talented guitarist. My father was a professional musician and dh can rip a cord or two - and I was genuinely impressed.

Our waiter was terrific. I knew we were in for a treat when he brought the bacon with the bread before we ordered. He also brought two orders of shrimp cocktail for us each, and when dh asked for extra ice cream with the apple pie.... well you can see below:

Your entertainment choices look exactly like ours. If so, You can book two comedy shows.

The first “stand up comedy show” listed (under Oceanaria) is for comedy live o. deck 4. You can pick different days and times. Over 18 or not. We did night 2 at midnight. Comics were hilarious.

The last (bottom) stand up comedy show choice is for theatre show on night 7. I believe there is only one showing at 10 pm but i might be wrong on that and an earlier show was offered, but sold out so i couldn't see it pre-cruise. According to our host from  last night in comedy live (you know the one- no longer a Disney Princess :)), the theatre show is also sold out on this sailing.

According to the host last night they will not accept stand by for any of the performances in comedy live, if you didn’t make a reservation pre cruise there are no openings for the comedy live venue.

He stated they will have a stand by line for the night 7 performance in the theatre.

does that make sense?

Ended up spending the rest of the evening with Shelly Page closing Bow and Stern. We are pretty convinced it’s the only bar that offers IPA. We will hunt down Will again, he mentioned playing in schooners one night so we might mix it up a bit.

Found these offers on the pub tables tonight- not sure I’ve seen them posted much:

tomorrow is St Maarten- we are grabbing a cab and heading to Moho.

Currently at maho.... $8 each way per person. Grab a cab at the gate. For some reason this year we paid ahead of time and ended up with orange wrist bands. Download a schedule of planes at Juliana ahead of time. Beers cheap- lots of entertainment at sunset beach bar.

If you are going to skip a dinner- day 4 is a good choice unless you like ahi tuna and then make sure you attend.

Last night was an early night for us. We’ve closed bow and stern nightly and I think it just caught up to us. Plus, it was Jenny Pages night off and Will James wasn’t playing either. It was the 70s disco night- lots of people enjoying.

Today was a very short day in San Juan. Customs cleared the ship at 7:10 and all aboard was 12:30. We did el Morrow and umbrella lane. It’s hot. I logged 9.6 miles on the Fitbit with 272 minutes of cardio. Be sure to pack water even if you are just hanging in town.

Park cafe was packed when we got back onboard. People eating at the tables in Giovanni’s. They make a lovely tossed salad there. Dh went for pizza and said the line was long. It’s a big ship and for the most part it handles crowds well, but there are times you know you are sharing with eight thousand other people.

We are getting ready for sailaway. We are starboard so not watching from the balcony- heading to an open deck. Probably 5 behind aqua theatre. I always love sailing past the fort. So much history.

tonihht is formal night. We also have reservations for both the ice show and headliner. It’s going to be a busy but fun night as we are rested up and ready to put the drink package to good use.

Thank you for the live review.

What did you mean by paying ahead and orange wrist band for Maho?  Was this part of a formal excursion?

How did you add pictures to your live review?  I'm looking to do similar on my future cruises as I do enjoy reading these live reviews.

No formal tour. We just walked up to the taxi stand like other times and told them maho. She said, $32 and it covered us both round trip. The figures worked out the same as before- 8pp/rt = 32 so we paid and she put orange bands on us. In the past we would pay once at maho and again when back at ship. I liked former way better as you can sort of pick which taxi to take. I also dislike being “banded” as nothing says tourist like a neon sticker on your shirt or an arm band. All in all it didn’t make a tremendous difference.

When you post a reply to me do you get an option on the bottom asking you to “click to choose files”? If so, just click and upload pics directly from your phone. I would recommend surf plus stream. On anthem surf has always been extremely fast so I didn’t get “plus stream” on allure and wish I did as the system on allure is surprisingly  clunky.

Update: medical emergency.

We have turned around. Captain came on announcements to say we will arrive back in San Juan around 7:00. We left today at 1:00 so that is a six hour detour. Originally Scheduled in Labadee tomorrow at 10-6. No further info at this time.

Nothing matters more to us than the patients health.

We are enjoying your review of the Allure.  We sail on July 28th and this is our first time on ship.  We are both Club Royale gamblers & I could not help but notice on your daily Cruise Planners that it shows the casino open 24 hrs on several days.  Is this new? is it correct?

Oh wow bummer. I would not be happy, but like you said someone's health is more important. A bad day on a cruise is better than a great day at work.

Appears true- although we have not been in the casino in the wee hours 🙂

We are fine- couldn’t care a less. Have learned to expect change while traveling. Admittedly, if the cancelled stop was Santorini or flam we’d be bummed.

With that said, There are some seriously ticked off people. The line at guest services is huge. I wonder if there is any chance captain would try coco cay tomorrow. It’s close to fll so the azipod shouldn’t be an issue. Anyone know if an oasis class has docked there yet? I was on the anthems first stop last month and the pier  looked long enough.

I've read about Harmony stopping at Coco Cay several times starting in May.  We'll be on Harmony on 7/21 and Coco Cay is on the agenda.  I wasn't too thrilled with Labadee when we were there in 2016 while on Oasis.
