Capt. Albert Schoonderbeek and the final HAL voyage of the Prinsendam II

Recommended Posts

We sailed that itinerary aboard the Rotterdam. I'd love to be on the Prinsendam again for her swan song. I hope they have better weather at the North Cape than we did! (But it was still a fantastic voyage.)

We did that cruise on the Prinsendam 2 years ago as part of 56 days of back to backs.  Its a fitting cruise for Prinsendam's final voyage with HAL.  Very sorry to see her go.

Were you on the May 25th sailing this year?  We have 12 days out of 14 that rained.  But it was still a good voyage with the North Cape being the highlight for me.

Thank you very much Copper John telling us that Captain Albert is doing his blog on board the Prinsendam .

He is the perfect person to give his wonderful talks about Holland America and the Prinsendam in particular .

We had a fantastic cruise on her in April and May from Lisbon to Amsterdam . It is sad to see her go what a nice ship and a fantastic crew !  Hope very much HAL will get another small ship that can visit all the small and very interesting ports . If they do it right I am sure they will have a large clientele .
