Guide Recommendations for Marius

Hi, 

 

We are looking for current guide recommendations that would do Balata Gardens and Rum distillery. Can we do on our own? Has anyone used Marius or any other guide in Martinque.

You can do it yourself or with a party of 4 as the taxi fare will be for the taxi.

To the Gardens, work on about €40.00

Take the set lunch in the restaurant at €25,00 each

Taxi to La Favorite Distillery about €30.00 - Buy a bottle of La Filbuste 

Taxi back to ship about €15.00

Thank you, just a few more questions do we need to keep a driver, or are they easy to find? Do most speak English?

No need to keep driver, plenty of taxis at the Gardens (Restaurant is in the Gardens), and the Gardens/Restaurant will call a known/reliable one if required.  

 

La Favorite has the best tastings, huge pours.

 

La Favorite will have taxis available, and again one can be call if required.  La Favorite is the best visit, as you will step back in time where huge steam engines were king.

 

To see the plant machinery in serious action, visit between February and June.

 

All drivers speak English, and possibly American 😉
