Carnival sunrise. The worse ship ever

3-4 regular tables and chairs? What do you consider regular? The place is so large it seats plenty of people. Didn’t you like the couches and chairs near the entry way?

Redoing an old ship to get more cabins (read: crowding) and renaming it only fools the newbies. Think, putting lipstick on a pig. But that is Carnival's market . . . first timers saving money. I avoid these ships, and Carnival isn't the only one doing it, and stick to newer ships with longer itineraries.

They do, obviously way more than you think they do.  Which tighter common spces are tou referring to?   Do you know what they took away for the cabins?

Yeah they sure fooled me, 36 and counting (on Carnival).  Have you been on the Sunshine or Sunrise?

yes those are good but if you sit over there then you can not see the events going on the stage at the pub. I also seen people crowd the entry way when they have events in the pub making it even harder to see what is going on

I sat there plenty of times and could see. Yes it’s to the side of the stage and not in front but I could still see.

Impressive cruise history . . . what was it . . . nearness to cruise port, shorter cruises, cost, desire to stand in long lines, or visit packed venues ?. . . or maybe you're a stockholder, tickled that Carnival can redo a ship, add more cabins, change it's name, at a fraction of the cost of a new build and most wouldn't even know the difference?

So in other words, like some others, you haven’t sailed both the triumph and sunrise? And I cruise based on ports and the ship. Did I see you on my 2 week Panama Canal cruise?

Have sailed NEITHER. The introduction of the SPIRIT class made the TRIUMPH old school, whereas lipstick doesn't change a pigs demeanor. Have read enough reviews to get a pretty good picture of the Sunrise, however. But, what was it again, the nearness to its cruise port, cheap price, shortened itinerary, loving large , long lines, and packed venues? Or, as they say, "whatever floats your boat".

 

I personally cruise Carnival because of the cheap cabin pricing and even the ole Fantasy Class now and then for a short CHEAP getaway. But, mainly, because there are NO SURPRISES.

I knew you had cruised neither. There’s very little that wasn’t changed interior. But you wouldn’t know that. And I could care less about some people’s over the top reviews. There are far FA more positive ones especially on another social media site.

Adding cabins increases the load on public places and venues exceeding the architectural design calculations pure and simple. You may not be "fooled" by the lipstick (renaming), but many newbies were. NCL did the same thing with the SEAWARD or the WINDWARD, can't remember, several decades ago, cutting the entire ship in half and adding cabins. But they didn't change the name. You may be in love with that battered ole gal, the TRIUMPH. I can understand as I love the IMAGINATION and the INSPIRATION cruising out of Long Beach (one was a 3-dayer for $99)! No name changes required.

alot of satelite stations for breakfast which are in the fun times-cucina and seafood shack-wish they would better utilize the buffet line ie move omellete stations to the center stations. Move toast/bagels to one station. Like the stations much better than one line

Ignorance. If you had sailed the triumph and the sunrise you would know that very very little in that ship is the same. And the newbies I met on the ship thought it was a beautiful and great ship and would never had known it was the triumph.

It's a refurbished ship. I'm not sure why you seem to think it's drastically different. There was nothing special about this dry dock other than adding a duck tail. It was all basic stuff.

Lolol. Been on it? Refurbish would be new paint, carpeting, cleaning etc. adding new venues, restaurants, bars, rooms, moving venues, completely changing venues etc is more than just a refurbishment. Obvious you don’t know what you’re talking about and we’re on neither. Stop embarrassing yourself.

They really didn't change that much. I'm genuinely not quite sure why you think it's similar to a new ship.

 

By your logic, one would assume all of Epcot is full of brand new attractions with the new overlay in Test Track, new film in Soarin', change in story from Maelstrom versus Frozen Ever After and the new Earth sequence at Mission Space. I wouldn't even want to start the Journey into Your Imagination with Figment discussion.

Maybe one day but not now. I would prefer to get through my Carnival Liberty cruise first. Why would I want to sail on the Sunrise?
