Southampton hotels with shuttle to cruise port

We are cruising on October 18, 2019, arriving at London Heathrow on October 17.  We are trying to choose a good hotel in Southampton, preferably with a shuttle to the cruise ship.  We are currently considering: Southampton West Quay, Holiday Inn Southampton, and Jurys Inn Southampton.  Any suggestions as to which would be the best choice for ease of getting to the port terminal?  I know we could always take a cab but would prefer a shuttle if possible.

HI (the one in Herbert Walker Ave, not the city's two HIXs) is right by the RCI berth, City Cruise Terminal (aka berth 101).

If you be book a room at the back you'll be looking down at your ship in the morning,.

If you book a room at the front you'll see her coming up Southampton Water - if you set your alarm for daft 'clock in the morning .

HI is very popular with cruisers for that reason. You can walk to the terminal, about 300 yards.

 

Jury's Inn isn't the best or most-convenient location - it's on the other side of the compact city centre, and it's set in a traffic island (no traffic noise, but an awkward road crossing.

 

Premier Inn West Quay and Leonardo Royal (formerly Grand Harbour) are also popular with cruisers - again walkable to City Cruise Terminal. Ditto the Pig-in-the-Wall or Ennio's if you prefer something rather quirky & boutique.

But any hotel on this page & map is no worse than a £10 taxi fare to your ship, so don't worry too much about included shuttles

We've stayed in 5 different hotels in Southampton- none had shuttles, The only one with a shuttle was 5 miles outside- the other Holiday Inn (Eastham, JB?)

We prefer the HI next to the dock for RCI ships, as the footpath through the port leaves from just outside the hotel. As JB mentioned, a taxi will cost very little, and reception will order one for you.

There are other hotels on the edge of the city or in the surrounding countryside that offer transfers too.

Generally to get the trade in cruise parking with a night's stay.
