Q: What is the latest time I can arrive at the cruise terminal for my cruise?
A: In preparation for departure, you must be on board by the Final Boarding time printed on your boarding pass or you will not be permitted to sail.

I am sure that some here who are closer to the situation will correct me but I believe the ship has to provide a final passenger manifest to DHS one hour prior to sailing. If the ship is late doing so, I'm guessing the departure will be delayed.

that is not true, you can board up to one hour before departure.

Which is the "Final Boarding Time" printed on your boarding pass as stated by amyotravel.

OMG! Why wait? I’m on that ship as soon as I’m allowed to board! Can’t start that vacation fast enough in my opinion! I also try to get FTTF to start it even sooner. But if this is really essential information to you, make sure you are onboard about 2 hours prior to departure. I’d say 2:00 would be the latest. Why cut it any closer. For my April 5 cruise, we have to drive about 4 hours to get to port. I intend to leave between 4-5:00am to ensure I’m at least near the port and ready to check in and board ASAP. I do have FTTF for that cruise also, which will be a B2B.
