Has anyone ever stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon pre cruise? We have reservations here and trying to see if people like the hotel and what is all around it, mainly for dinner. We won't have a car as we are flying in.  Thanks!

We stayed 1 night pre-cruise with parking included in June 2015. Booked a room for 3 and was pleasantly surprised when we checked in that they gave us a suite with 2 queen beds, separate living room with sleeper couch and kitchenette area. It was very nice. There is a shopping plaza across the street with a Starbucks, Publix, Mexican grill and a few other shops. On the same side of the street as the hotel and down a block or two is a Walgreen's and Pollo Tropical. You could also grab a Uber to get to a better restaurant. We would stay there again!

We stayed there last February.  We liked the Cuban restaurant across the street.  Room was great.  Breakfast was good with waffles and other breakfast goodies.  We got an Uber to the port in the morning.  They have free airport shuttle and a port shuttle (extra cost). We are staying there again next February.

only negative was a snicker bar was $3.00.  Lol

We have stayed there 4 or 5 times.  Good staff, free shuttle from airport and a nice free breakfast in the morning.  The shuttle to port is $10 per person and has worked well for us each time.  Love the Publix across the street and the Cuban restaurant.
