MouseBerry Posted July 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2019 Hi, on our last cruise on MS Koningsdam it was no problem to find a free lounger somewhere. Even on sunny sea days no problem at all. But to find a lounger in the shade was a big problem sometimes. We plan our next cruise on MS Rotterdam. I saw some pictures of the lower promenade deck with loungers. There is shade. Are these loungers dedicated to the Lanai cabins or can they be used by all guests? Maybe the ones directly in front of Lanai cabins should be dedicated as this is more or less their balcony, but maybe some extra loungers are available to all guests. What are the rules here? cheers MBerry
Shawnino Posted July 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2019 Do people who aren't in the Lanai cabins try and sit in the chairs outside the Lanai cabins?
FrankieSue Posted July 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2019 We travelled on the last Rotterdam itinerary Tampa to Rotterdam and we found that there were plenty of loungers available on the Promenade deck. Each lanai cabin has 2 dedicated loungers, but plenty more are available to other passengers. The Promenade deck remains my favorite deck. Also most of the loungers had new cushions. Maasdam, Volendam and Rotterdam for other passengers. Normally they stand in the neighbourhood of some of the outside cabins on LP deck. Homosassa Posted July 3, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 3, 2019 Unfortunately, the loungers for non-lanai cabin passengers are often on the section of the promenade where the rail is solid steel. However, one can pick up the chair and move it to a section of the deck where the rail is open.
