Traveling with a group on Carnival and will be in Grand Cayman in early November. A few of us are interested in doing a discover scuba (I am the only one certified in the group). Torn between going with the ship as I know we'll be able to get an earlier tender if we do and it's a bit more convenient but I dont want to be in a huge crowd of people either. Any recommendations?

Sunset Divers at Sunset House has always dona a good job in my experience and they are far enuf from town (less than a mile) that FEW cruisers venture that far.  They have a pool for the 'work up' and then their 'sea pool' provides a very easy entry point and their shore dive site is popular even with locals.  AND My Bar for after . . . web site says they do it at 2pm but in the past I've been able to set up other time by e-mailing the dive shop, esply if you have a group.
