NFL FOOTBALL

Ever cruise we have been on during football season has had games being broadcast. In our experience they generally do not have more than one or two games on Sundays. We have also watched Monday night and Thursday night football on board.

Years ago Princess had a Huge licensing package for NFL and it was great fun to watch on multiple screens, including poolside and cabins.   Regular season games plus playoffs.  Not sure if they still have it.

Most cruiselines show playoffs and SB.  We had great fun two seasons ago watching on Viking.

Cannot wait  for the new season.

The ships that have the on-demand, interactive TV's (Vista class and larger) have 2 ESPN channels and a "special events" channel on the TV's.   On the smaller ships, ( R and S class) they also offer ESPN channels.  So, I'm pretty sure you will get your NFL "Fix" in the fall cruises.

Unfortunately, the ships that did have a Sports Bar with lots of big screen TV's  deleted them in order to make room for the Billboard Onboard dual pianos.   But the Gallery Bar, behind the casinos have large screen TV's and lots of draft beer.  The Gallery Bar has become the Sports Bar.

I will be on the Nieuw Amsterdam in October.  ESPN Caribbean does have the Monday night game (since it is ESPN anyway, so no change there) and the Sunday night game (taken from the NBC feed, but cuts out immediately after the game is over, as in when it takes a break).  It is hit or miss for the Thursday night game and Sunday afternoon (usually the top game for the time slot), but sometimes they replace one of the ESPN channels or goes to a special events channel with a feed of an NFL game.

I have not seen the NFL with the interactive TV's yet.  I will sure be in the Gallery Bar for this, even though the TV was pretty muted when I was there for the Final Four last year (probably get stuck with the usual music from Billboard Onboard in the background).

I did not know that; helpful information as I prepare to board Westerdam on Sunday.

I was on the Koningsdam this year for the first part of the playoffs....January 4 - 13. They did have the games on the big screen at the Lido Pool. Mind you, it was the playoffs, so no multi-game days.
