Loving your review.  Haven't got any cruises booked on Dawn or Canada/New England itinerary, but may have to rethink it.....maybe for the fall.   I have been out east a few times, driving through Vermont and Maine, but I think cruising it would be fun.

(I live close to Toronto so it is a nice road trip for us).  If you go again, try to get to Peggy's Cove, it is gorgeous there.

Hope your leg has healed up and you were in better shape to enjoy your latest trip.  Thanks for posting.....I have enjoyed all your trip reports and pics....especially of the ships and itineraries I am cruising after you.

Take care

Angela

We thought about that, but I also didn't want to deal with crowds at Peggy's Cove.

Yes, my leg is better. I was able to get around just fine on our trip to Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, a sliver of Utah, Texas, and California.

You are very welcome! I learn from others and try to share my knowledge with you all as well!

We went to The Holy Donut shop - they make a potato donut and all they flavors are excellent!

Directions to get there!

After eating donuts, we headed down for our tour with Lucky Catch Cruises. Lucky Catch Cruises run tours around Casco Bay, pulling lobster pots and teaching you about lobstering. While we were waiting, it started to pour. Luckily, it stopped before we got onboard and held off till after the tour.

The Dawn in Portland, Maine.

We made several stops and learned about baiting, pulling, and setting traps, as well as identifying lobster, measuring for whether or not the lobster is legal to catch, and sustainability. We took more video on this excursion, so make sure to check out the video when it comes out!

After our Lucky Catch Tours Excursion, we went to get some lunch.

We were all pretty cold, so we found the Flatbread Company.

IMG_1059-L.jpg

They have wood fired pizza ovens and boy was it toasty warm in that building.

Maria got the Old Port Smoked Salmon Salad

Susan got the Jay's Heart with Maple Fennel Sausage

Trace and I shared a Pepperoni & Mushroom

We ended up heading back to the ship as we were tired and it started to pour.

Sorry I did not get more done, the night got away from me.

I found a deal on an Alaska cruise, so Shadowmeboy is going to Alaska again in September! You know what that means! Another photo review!!! I am sailing the Bliss again on a 7 night Alaska roundtrip out of Seattle. Excited to go back to Glacier Bay National Park and hope the weather is better this time!

Unfortunately, Susan will be teaching and Matthew will have to fend for himself. How will I make it?

Till tomorrow!

I know! It only took 3 months of nagging, I mean convincing!

I can’t wait. Plus I want to try Q again. Hopefully it’s better this time.

I have 5 nights of specialty dining - 3 sdp and 2 platinum certs.

plan is los lobos x2, Cagney’s, La Cucina, and Q.

We met the company doing the shore excursion near the tender dock. They led us to the Schooner for our Schooner Sail and Mimosas. we booked through NCL since the company only offers it through the cruise line.
