Does anyone know if it is a problem to be dropped off directly at terminals with Uber or Lyft?

We get off NCL Escape on Sunday Aug 11.  Will do early walk off, go across street and request our ride to LGA.   Want to be there at about 10:00 am.

We been dropped off several times by Uber or lyft not a problem, they seem to know quickest way to get there .

So no issues with getting to terminal ?   Concerned since people saying have to get a bus to a taxi etc.   hoping drop off is direct drop off.

We were dropped off about 2pm , Uber from midtown took 20 mins to get within a mile of lga and another 25 mins for last mile , driver did lots of little short cuts , were dropped off in front of our airline delta . My sister did a taxi same day about same time also from midtown and took them 90 mins. Much smoother going to terminal then leaving from there. This was a Monday.

Pax on outbound flights (flying out of LGA) are directly dropped off in front of their airline terminals, whether it's a taxi, car service or Uber/Lyft - unless there is unusual and exceptional closures for that particular day or moment (only then, a free shuttle bus transfer from a remote lot with drop-offs are enforced).

Arriving pax into LGA are finding it more challenging on which service is faster, better & easier ... depending on the airline/terminal & gate used; time of day & day of the week, etc.  (i.e. a section of the service roadway or entrance/exit ramps being closed or lowered and repositioned, etc.)

Hence, I have been recommending to allow extra time once at LGA - it could be another 15, 30 or even 45 minutes before reaching one's airline terminal for a dropoff.

LGA is a mess 365 days a year. Getting close to the airport in most cases is easy. Getting into the airport can be nerve wracking. Access to LGA off the Grand Central Parkway is very congested and is backed up continuously. I would always allow an extra hour to get there.

Thanks everyone.   Will make sure we are off as soon as possible with our luggage and then across the street to get an Uber or Lyft.  Head directly to LGA.

Hoping not that bad on a Sunday morning.

Once at LGA we are both pre check so keeping fingers crossed..

Here is a link to LaGuardia Airport giving times for TSA Security.

Normally from the NCL pier to LaGuardia Airport on a weekend should not be bad especially early in the morning! Traffic going to departures has gotten better but initially looks like organized chaos!

Weekdays travel can definitely extend the travel time due to work traffic and construction.
