Borghese Gallery in Rome

Borghese Gallery is no longer part of the Roma Pass. Just picked up our tickets and there a sign.

I went to the Roma Pass website to see if any additional info was given. There is a notice dated June 16 saying that service with Roma Pass (for the Borghese Gallery) is "temporarily suspended".  Not sure what that means, exactly.

But this is a definite much see. It was awe inspiring. Too bad one can't take pictures. 26.50 Euros per person for a guided tour in English.

Yes, even though it's not particularly my interest, I've loved both of my visits to the Borghese Gallery. Definitely worthwhile.

Tip if doing the Borghese Gallery DIY:  when your timed group is let in, go immediately to the second floor.  Everybody else will be crowded into the first floor galleries.  When you've looked around up there, proceed down to a rapidly emptying out first floor and enjoy the Canova and Bernini sculptures by yourself!  [But don't tell anyone else about this ]
