Individual Drinks Prices?

Help appreciated please to find out drinks prices on board; eg standard bottle beers, spirit measures etc

We have a soft drinks package and are looking at the maths as to whether to upgrade to an alcohol package for our 18yo

I can't remember the prices from last year and I think UK sailings normally include the gratuity on the menu price, so anyone who has info from this recently would be helpful

I believe the OP is looking for prices... Add 20% to these prices and they're all set - easy peasy.

Think you were asking about your 18 year old. As they are an American company my understanding was that celebrity dont serve drinks to under 21s

it is a UK sailing so an 18 year old is able to have an alcoholic package or be served alcohol at any of the bars.

Yes but it is not exactly 20% but rounded up or down to the nearest whole or 50c and some of the menus shown won't exist on  the only ship sailing out of the UK until Jan 2020. For example a $10 beer would probably be $12 but what about an $8 drink would it be $9, $9.50 or $10 . One thing it probably won't be is $9.60

Really curious if you are making assumptions.    My experience is not the same as yours.   Following are prices from  Silhouette out of Southampton.

Example would be a Budweiser would be $7.00 and they automatically add on 20% (not VAT this is gratuity) for a cost of $8.40. and the amount is EXACTLY 20% not rounded up  and of course all billing would be in USD.

My understanding is that prices shown for drinks on menus for sailings out and back from the UK must be inclusive. Therefore if the menu shows $7 then $7 is what you pay if a compulsory gratuity is required then it should be included in the displayed price and the card should say $8.40. There is no mention on these menus of any additional 20%

Your menu from Infinity

828366022_bud20.jpeg.59a6133dd5935b6fca89f5f282898a65.jpeg

on this menu a Bud is $6 plus 20% so $7.20 to pay

Your menu From Silhouette

and on this it is only $7 including Gratuity

So I think you will find my assumption or rather uncertainty that calculating from a non UK menu does not work out

Jim are these from Silhouette this years sailings or last years when it was 18%?

Not that Celebrity does, but NCL is also an American owned company and will allow 18+ to buy beer and wine if the parent signs a consent form.

We recently returned from a Celebrity cruise out of Venice.  We did not have to sign any document for my two 20 year old to get a drink (neither did we when they were 18 or 19 and sailing from the UK).  As the 20year olds did not have a drinks package (didn't want one) then 20% was added to the drink cost.
