Transfer to travel agent

Hope this is correct forum.  We are booked with a cruise line and want to transfer to an online travel agency, as we can get a pretty good OBC.  Cruise line is not offering us anything as we are in an interior room.  First time for us.  Anyone out there with advice about doing this ?  Smart move or just being greedy ???  Thanks in advance for any help.

Different cruise lines have different time limits for transferring a reservation to a TA.  So don't dally.
