There's only one fjord...

It's my favourite stop on the two Canada/NE cruises we've done (third coming up soon). The townspeople are VERY welcoming with music, dance and local treats to try.  Get up early for the sail in; it's beautiful in the morning light.  First time we walked around town.  There was a fair going on and a farmers market, too.  Second time we did the HoHo.  Next time we're going to see the show La Fabuleuse.

Lovely port, we were there on another cruise line last year.  Lovely sail in.

The locals put major effort into welcoming cruise ship passengers.  The best deal is a HOHO bus that takes you to a couple neighboring towns, we rode two circuits for ten or fifteen dollars pp.  buy tickets at the terminal area.  Nice narration on board.

Do you mean from Tadusacc?

i would go on a whale watch.

see beluga and other whales and wild life. Get closer to the lighthouse and other scenery. You probably would have some time to walk around the shops near the beach and pier. Plus there is a cemetery and church near by.

i liked that part of Canada so much after cruising that the following year we drove up by car and spent a few days there.

I agree with the sail in experience. Lots and lots of people next to the ship doing their thing. A great experience.

This is NOT your typical port of call.

Been a few years but our foursome rented a car which we picked up at dock and took a drive to Ste. Rose du Nord where we took a side road down to a small dock.  There we found  the Rose Cafe and we all tried poutine.  Just as our order was being served a massive HAL tour bus arrived.  After lunch, we just drove where the car took us and returned to town, got gas and were back onboard with time to spare.  Very nice day except for the poutine!!!

Go out on deck just as the sun rises and you turn into the fjord.  You should be able to see beluga and black minke whales.  I got great photos of three beluga whales swimming together.  Halfway up the fjord on port side you'll see a large religious statue high up in the cliffs.
