a few years ago, you were on, I believe,  the reflection and heard the discontent with Celebrity eliminating the daily water bottles in aqua class....and you changed that policy to once again provide daily bottles....but apparently on THAT CRUISE ONLY.  If it was an issue on that cruise, didn't you think it was an issue on all cruises???  Will you reintroduce the replenishment of the water bottles in aqua class, as you said you would do years ago or was that just something you did to avoid hearing the complaints on your cruise?

Here's a reference from another frequent cruiser...

Return of the daily bottles of water would be nice, especially since the tea served on the Summit last year was rather odd, and I like tea.  Some improvement could be made there too.

Perhaps another option is to install water filtration in the bathrooms and give out reusable water bottles that guests take ashore and home at the end of the cruise.  This reduces one time use plastics and leaves a memento of the cruise.  Some hotels are moving in this direction.  Is this something Celebrity might consider?

Hello!
We currently offer all of our AquaClass guests complimentary welcome bottled water on each first day of the sailing. We will certainly put this concern into consideration, especially while we continue our efforts to reduce single-use plastics. You can read more about our amenities for AquaClass here: https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/aqua-class-stateroom.

Thank you and have a great rest of your day!

Last cruise we were on (TA last November 2018 on Silhouette) we brought our own drink bottles and just refilled them at the water coolers in the cafe and Mast Grill.  Refill your own bottle using the provided glasses at the drink station.   It worked perfectly and cut down on single use plastic water bottles.    We will always bring our own bottles now.

Maybe Celebrity could install those automatic water fountains specifically for filling water bottles that gyms have and then they could sell nice refillable water bottles in the gift shops with the X logo on them.

Thank you, we are very much on that path.  We have dramatically reduced the use of single use plastics onboard all of our ships.  Including on the recently launched Celebrity Flora which has refillable water stations in each stateroom.  We have refillable water stations across our fleet!

The other thing we find odd and surprising are the number of people who specifically request bottled water with their dinner apparently because they don't trust the water provided by the ship in the jugs the servers carry around the dining room.  We don't drink a lot of wine or booze or soda/pop so we've always taken the regular water.  It's great water.  And it's free.  Any commercially bottled water, regardless of it's source, undergoes much the same filtration process as the free tap water on a Celebrity cruise.  Why pay extra for it?

I believe the ships water is reverse osmosis while the bottled water is spring water.

Some is spring water but it's not usually direct from the source because of inconsistencies and possible contaminants.  Water like Aquafina and Dasani are made by PepsiCo and Coca Cola and are just tap water treated with reverse osmosis and ultra violet etc..  Nestles which makes a variety of brands including Perrier and San Pellegrino also undergo all sorts of purification.

None of this has anything to do with the fact that when Aqua Class first became a category, we were given DAILY bottles of water.

So now that's not considered environmentally correct?  Well, then,  stop SELLING  those same single-use plastic bottles of water to anyone who wants to BUY one.

That's why I said earlier that Celebrity should have a bunch of those water bottle filling stations around the ship and sell refillable water bottles in the gift shop with the X logo on them.  (Maybe AquaClass and Suites could have them included) No more single use water bottles, revenue from drink bottle sales and free advertising when people carry their bottles around off the ship.
