I've never seen a Piazza so underutilized before. No music or lectures. It's as if they're concerned about waking those who need to go to bed by 9. There are 2 (yes just 2) strings onboard and winds are limited to backing up a show. Static is great, as usual, but they are part timers here.

I'm sitting in the IC listening to fellow cruisers complain about the Caribbean Music (it's Kpop not Caribbean LOL). So is that age the new target market? Am I on the wrong line?

Such a disappointment! Even for sea day? Live music is what we really enjoy, and love about Princess. This May we had the Rhapsody Trio playing classical on Grand Princess, they were by far the best we've even seen on Princess!

I like Static. How do you like Aileen and Sticks? In the past I've encountered 2 singers who can't sing in tune. Wonder how they pass the Princess audition.

Shortish walk from pier to Quincy Market in Boston using Google Maps. About 2 miles. Then 2.5 miles on Freedom Trail. Taking Uber back. The ship has a shuttle if that's more to your liking. $16rt and must be reserved -- tickets not available at port

FWIW: Music picked up last night after we left NYC. Still nothing in Piazza.

No I've done it a few times but it can be downloaded and DIY from here.

Off to a free concert by the Berkeley Conservatory but just as much jazz behind North Market. A lot to do here

We didn't hear about the shuttle until last nite, and, didn't learn about the tickets for it until we were at the shuttle. Where did y'all hear about it?

Would not have paid $16 apiece anyways... Lyft was easier and faster and cheaper. 😀

Who is the Circle Hostess? Who is the Future Cruise person? From the above posts sounds like the same person but that usually isn't the case. We will be on board in a little over two weeks from now. Buying Future Cruise Credits, I usually order them on line when on board rather than go speak to the person. Someone posted above that didn't work either. Is the person just inefficient?

Barbara Zanetti is the CC Host. Matthew (can’t remember his last name) is the Future Cruise Consultant. They share an office and cover for each other but each has his/her individual jobs. I’ve booked FCDs with Matthew without any issue.  When the new position of Associate Hotel Mgr was created additional office space was needed for her so she, Simone, moved into the office that had originally been that of the Captain’s Circle host and the CC host and the Future Cruise Consultant now share an office.

I’m reading about issues in this thread that the posters have encountered but I can’t relate to them since I haven’t encountered them and I’ve spent more than 50 days this year onboard the CB. We’re onboard now and having a wonderful cruise.  No issues with staff and our Medallions are working just fine and are the same ones issued when we boarded a couple of cruises ago. I do have to qualify the working fine part though. There is a known glitch with the Medallion for those on B2bs: after the first cruise they won’t work in the casino slots so a key card is issued and I use that when I play the slots.

There do seem to be more cranky passengers than usual on this cruise. Perhaps  they are confounded by the OM and/or the aft elevators  but otherwise it’s your typical Princess Cruise.

other than the cranky aft elevator, which seems to have a mind of it's own, it's been pretty seemless. I don't mind the elevator doing it's thing, it's a fun conversation starter - "Have been on the elevator that tell's you you are on deck 10 when you are on deck 15?" it also just changes directions willy-nilly - LOL. Glad I'm, not a elevator tech...

Trillium brewery popup downtown is a highlight for me. We were walking to their brewery in Seaport, when we noticed a popup location on the way. Fun times at that, easy to grab some awesome brews, met a local couple with a baby, an, another couple from Switzerland, fellow beer geeks, Trillium was on their list. What a great time. Serendipity rocks!

Thank you to all who suggested I get a new medallion.  What you don't see to understand is that I'm enjoying the complaining (yes, my name is Cassandra).  Plus, I don't want one at all, but I was sternly informed that there were no more cruise cards to be had.  One thing I dislike is that with these medallions, the crew seems to feel that they are entitled to call you by your first name.  I prefer Dr. LastName and I really don't enjoy the waiters singing out Hi, FirstName, as I walk by.

It finally happened today:  I should have known it was too good to be true up to now -- the pool water was like melted ice this afternoon.  And it had been so comfortable up to now.  So sad.

This ship is the noisiest I've ever sailed on.  Tonight in the dining room as we pulled away from the dock, the sound and vibration from the thrusters/engine were like standing in the control room of Hoover Dam.  I had lunch this afternoon in Horizon, er, World Market, and we were literally parked at a standstill at the dock, and there still was mega-vibration, bouncing my soup spoon across the table.  Again, let me reiterate, we were docked!  She's a nice ship by looks and furnishings, but I feel like under the hood, we're sailing on a motor by Edsel.

While I missed the tender drama (I was off on one of the first ones, with no wait at all), I simply don't understand the mindset of people who knowingly purchase a ticket on a ship holding 3000+ people and then  complain because they have to wait in a line.

The band Static is excellent; the dj in Skywalker's is also great, so together they make up for the lousy entertainer in Crooner's, who is now repeating the same jokes he told the first few nights.  Which were only marginally funny the first time.

My cabin temperature has been perfect, but the public rooms, especially Crooner's, are all quite warm.  FYI.

Food is hit or miss:  mostly good but some things are a swing and a miss.  Do yourself a favour and avoid the crabcakes.  I've had corndogs with less deep-fried batter on them (actually, I've never had a corndog in my life, but that was the first thing I could think of that's excessively deep-fried!).

Today's trivia hint answer is seven.

Right now the internet cafe is full of olds:  mostly cranky old men telling their wives they're clicking on the wrong thing and mansplaining the internet to the "little woman."  How there aren't more marital  homicides onboard is a mystery to me . . .

Looking forward to Bar Harbor tomorrow, although imagine my chagrin to find out that this may be the one town in the United States with no Starbucks.  How am I supposed to download my latest batch of library books to my Kindle??  Nobody knows the trouble I've seen . . .

It’s a bit unsettling to not know where you are going on an elevator. Yesterday got on at 15, pushed 8 then some people got on at 9. Next stop I got off without looking at the # because it had to be 8. It was 10!  Today it was showing 11 for deck 15.

Yes, the one deck number showing on the elevator screen is different to the actual deck you’re on 🙄

Adds to the eliminate of surprise!!

Another very pleasant addition. Jazz Cafe in Wheelhouse every night now. It will be by Princess Orchestra members and feature a different type of jazz each evening! So they are definitely increasing the music venues onboard

Much larger tenders today (Bar Harbor) and no wait
