Connection time in Munich

Recommended Posts

In Nov. we will be flying on Viking air booked tickets, DUl to Munich to

Barcelona.  Only have 70 min. Layover in Munich. Will this be enough time. Worried about immigration and international to domestic terminals. Flying in on United and then switch to Lufthansa. This really has me stressed.

What airport is DUI?

Don't know, but flights there are often hammered.  🙂

70 minutes is fine. MUC is a relatively small, and very user friendly airport. We have a 75 minute connection, VCE-MUC-SFO next June, and am comfortable with it.

That was my first thought too. I can't think of any airport with DUI code, or even a local abbreviation of DUI (kinda like how Kansas City is officially MCI, but everyone in town calls it KCI). I'm stumped.

Don’t worry - MUC is an easy airport for transfer - don’t stress!

your luggage will be checked through to BCN so customs in BCN. Passport/ immigration and probably through security check.

If "DUI" is a US airport, there shoud be no security check when connecting in Munich, as normally, flights from the US are considered "clean"

I've certainly had to re-clear security at both MUC and FRA when coming from a US flight and connecting on to a intra-Germany or intra-Schengen flight.

I looked it up at this website, which is quite good for a bunch of info on airlines and airports.  And not just "airline codes".
