Purchasing onboard packages?

We will be sailing Liberty in March and need to book a drink package, dining package, internet and excursions.  If I do that now and the prices go down and I cancel and rebook how long does it take to get credit?  Do I pay with a credit card or use OBC?  Never had to deal with this so do not know how it all works.  Thanks for any help.

Credit card credit will show up in 5-10 business days.  OBC credit shows up instantly.

I just booked a drink package for a March 2020 cruise and was hesitant to use my OBC because i wasn't sure how/if it was refunded in case the price dropped. Good to know.

Last cruise, I called to book use both Deluxe drink packages, one with VOOM.  They booked one Deluxe and one Refreshment.

 

I called back, they refunded and rebooked.  Refund was processed same day according to my credit card statement.
