Getaway stateroom doors

Are the stateroom doors on the Getaway metal? We want to get magnetic signs for our doors but I saw somewhere that now all ships have metal doors.

Well, we were on the Getaway in May after the refurbishment and our doors (balcony on the 13th deck) were metal.  DW had four magnets on it.

I assume you've read the thread talking about the banning of ALL stateroom door decorations of ANY kind due to a safety issue

Don't use magnets outside your cabins that you would hate to have stolen!!!   It happens too regularly.

Been reported that since Sunday there is a system wide BAN on decorating your cabin door.

Does this mean that I cannot leave an invitation to a Cruise Critic function in the "mail slot" beside the door?

 

If so, can I complain when the "b....... art mob" leave unwanted fliers in it?

 

Does it also mean that a steward is unable to leave a FD there if there is a Do Not Disturb notice?

Nothing about mail in slots, only about stuff on doors. Two totally different issues. Feel free to complain about art mob fliers, not sure if it’ll have any effect, but they might put you on the don’t give him any list, if they have one
