HDMI hookups

One of the big problems is that the remotes don't have a "Source" or "Input" button to switch between the TV's inputs. But, depending on the TV, there's an input button on the TV itself. But even then, it won't always work. There's a data line going into the back of the TV (I can't remember if it's a telephone or ethernet wire). This is what feeds the Carnival info. to the TV's. In some cases, you can unplug that data wire and the input button on the TV will then work. We were able to hook up and use my son's Nintendo Switch (HDMI) aboard the Glory last year. But I think the newer ships have TV's without input buttons or the buttons are disabled. And maybe some older ships where they swapped out TV's. If you try this, don't forget to plug that data wire back in when you're not trying to use HDMI.
