Insane prices for Oasis class ships in the Summer!

Recommended Posts

I was going to book a Symphony of the Seas cruise  in July for my grandaughter and me.  The balcony room was almost 4800$, a thousand dollars more than I paid this year!

That is crazy to me!  Should I wait until/if kids sale free?

I know all about supply/demand but really?

If it's just you and a kid, the KSF wouldn't help you. Besides, KSF doesn't apply to July sailings.

As long as people are paying the prices, they will continue to go up.

It's not just the Symphony and not just the summer.  Mariner prices for November/early December are crazy as well.  Over $900 for an inside for 3 nights and around $1250 and up for a balcony.

I haven't seen any cheap prices on Mariner either.  I am trying to book something to sail with my Mom once she goes back to Florida after Christmas (Jan-March timeframe) and I can't find a balcony on the 4 night less than $1,500.  I can book an 8 night on Anthem in a balcony for less than $2,000 though.  Might just have to sail with DH and go see Mom when we get to Port Canaveral like we usually do.  She gets her "honey do list" done that was at least.  😄

I see $3872 not counting a balcony discount if you have for July 11, 2020 sailing. Where are you looking?

And this is the reason we opted to (take the kids out of school for a week) Our May 3, 2020 cruise on Harmony out of Port Canaveral was included in the KSF....well worth it for us and the extended family we're sailing with that included 4 kids.

You can't mention TA and what they posted is from a TA site.

I wasn't sure about that, but now I know better.

What I posted just a few minutes ago was from RCCL's site.  4763$

The big box store, who shall not be named, posted the same price, with a gift card at least.

We booked SMP in August 2020 and I think we paid quite a bit for a balcony on deck 10 but it 's a family cruise and they are paying over $1000. for inside cabins overlooking the marketplace. The fact that we are going to Cococay seems to raise the price because all the kids want to go to the island, great marketing by RCCL. I don't think they know about the extra pricing  on the island.

Well it's only money!

Cococay and all those new ships are going to have be paid for somehow!

Cruising increases in popularity year on year and therefore demand mirrors that trend, so the prices are going to reflect accordingly!

Prices have nothing to do with paying for Coco Cay or ships, it's all about what people are willing to pay.

I am seriously looking at NCL Breakaway mini suite  July 19, 4383$, with "Take all free" promotions included.

Good itinerary, but I do like Royal......bummer.

You really need to get a TA that has access to group space.  You could save over $1500 on the price you posted for Symphony.
