Great to hear that Royal is returning to the West coast, but disappointing itineraries.  Apparently no 7 night cruises.  

 

I gather the 4 day cruises from LA will call at Catalina as well as Ensenada.

Perhaps this will be a test for 2022?  I had heard that Royal was considering an Icon Class for that time in LA or San Diego.

Adding to the west Coast discussion. My wife follows Mario, the Diamond Concierge on Serenade, on FB.  Recently he posted something like: west coasters, see you in May ‘21.  So either somehow he knows he will be coming to Voyager in that time frame or perhaps Serenade will be doing some cruises out of the west coast beginning in May ‘21.

Hi Lee,  Rick just did a solo on Serenade, said Mario was awesome.  Claudio, that itinerary would be an awesome trip for sure.  We are looking forward to being able to cruise again from the west coast.

 I do not see them there at the moment either. That is not unusual. I am glad they caught the dates though as it fits with the bookings at Hawaii and the rumors in Australia from the ship. I think they are legit bookings.

Interesting that after all these years Quantum may be back in the US for some time. 

 

What ship would be replacing Harmony in PC when she heads to Barcelona?

Allure is in dry dock this year and will sail from Barcelona this May. 

 

Harmony is booked for summer of 2021.  

 

Royal had used Harmony as a place holder in Mallorca but have changed them or they are no longer visible. 

 

RCI does premier with ICON class in Quarter 2 of 2022 and they have often taken these ships directly to Barcelona. This may be the case in the summer of 2022, but no evidence yet.

Sydney should again host 3 ships over the 2021/22 season.  

Assuming Voyager cruises from LA through to Dec 2021 (as per the port bookings), it would seem likely that Ovation, Quantum (or Spectrum) and one other ship (Serenade?) will home port in Sydney.  

Caveat: Escalation of Coronavirus in China likely to result in re-deployments to Australia, Japan and/or elsewhere.

First weekly call at Victoria BC on May 16th of 2021 putting Quantum in Seattle every Monday. Ovation booked at Victoria every Thursday for the Friday Seattle sailings. Port bookings are never confirmed until the sailings are released.

I was surprised as well with the move for Summer of 2021. The ship had been announced for year round Singapore in the press.

Unless Spectrum cancels Shanghai and goes to Singapore. There are only 3 Quantum class ships possible to do that.
