After 4 years we are finally cruising next week

But it is on a river cruise to see how I tolerate that.  We are doing a week in Paris then boarding the Scenic Gem for an 11 day journey to Normandy and back visiting WW I and II sites.  This is a postponed anniversary trip.

 

I hope to do a live thread as WiFi is included.  I will pop in here but set up a thread on the river cruising board.  I still have compromised balance so Not sure how that will impact the trip.

We loved our river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. It’s not for people who’s primary goal is the ship with its casino, pools, entertainment, all-day food options, etc. But, it’s a fantastic way to see some amazing cities. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Bon voyage.

only 3of4 are going to France...DS chose canoeing way up north in Québec to Hudson Bay (be still my mum-heart). It is a 39 day canoe trip!  DD is staying in Paris for pre river cruise then flying home to get ready to go to university!  Big changes to the 4of4 family!

Looking forward to reading about your experience. Cyn and I have been pondering a river cruise for a while. We have (very) local options here on the Columbia but for the price American Cruise Line charges I think I'd rather fly to Amsterdam and cruise east. Have a great cruise!
