Sailing from New Jersey in October

Recommended Posts

I would agree.  We sailed to Bermuda from NJ a few years ago on Liberty of the Seas. We had a freak windy, cold day.  They said it was one of the coldest days they ever had.  The second day was much better, near 80.  It is probably too cool to swim in October.

We sailed from Jersey on the Explorer several years ago and the sea was pretty bad the first 2 days.  Lots of guests and crew were sick.  Fortunately it was a 14 day repo cruise, so we had lots of time to enjoy the cruise after being sick.

Explorer is a lot smaller than Anthem, and the weather can change any time, but just wanted you to know it is possible to have rough sea that time of year.

We cruised to Bermuda from NJ for 7 days mid-November last year.  We had 30's in NJ, 50 on second day, then an average of 75 in Bermuda.  Water was too cool for us , but the 72-78 in Bermuda was perfect.  We had typical seas crossing the ocean, a little rough but still ok outside with a jacket.  Of course, every year can be different.
