But favorite ship is very subjective.
skiorcruise Posted August 2, 2019 #27 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Spirit class - The Legend Take a moment to do the math. Number of tons of water displacement divided by number of passengers. This gives you a rough idea of how big and uncrowded the ship will seem to you. The Spirit class wins, hands down.

beachbum53 Posted August 2, 2019 #29 Share Posted August 2, 2019 The Breeze is my number one favorite, followed closely by the Liberty.
EBFURR Posted August 2, 2019 #30 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Mine is the Magic (or Breeze) and my Wife's is the Sunshine. We liked the Liberty a lot as well.
MalleyCat Posted August 2, 2019 #31 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Out of 13 so far, the Vista comes in #1. We have the Breeze and Horizon booked, we'll see what happens. :)

Most comments are just the opposite, saying how nice and quiet the Havana area was on their cruise. My guess is Carnival noticed the same thing when deciding the size of the Havana area on Mardi Gras. Smaller pool than on the Vista Class ships, the omission of the two hot tubs and the relocation from aft with a great view to being a second thought on the starboard side. I love the layout of Spirit class ships. I think they are by far the best designed ships in Carnival’s current fleet. The only negative in my book is they are smaller ships, so they don’t have all the amenities found on Carnival’s larger ships. You can walk from the front of the ship to the back on ANY deck. They never feel crowded, and I have sailed on them Spring break, New Year's, and Journeys cruises. Plus, they have the best Serenity areas in the fleet. 😀
babsee101 Posted August 3, 2019 #37 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Breeze with Magic a close second. I hate that the Breeze had to leave Galveston. Sailing Vista but not expecting to be wowed like before. They shrunk too many areas to make room for the pricey Havana area, including the spa area. Breeze had a fantastic spa! So far Magic is probably my favorite but I really like Sunshine while other folks do not. All my Conquest class boats have been 'fine'. My wife disliked Miracle (she still refers to the 'grapes') while I liked the Spirit class quite a bit. Edited August 3, 2019 by jsglow

Totally agree with you--Breeze and Magic. (Going on the Dream for the first time in September) My last cruise was on the Vista and, yes, some areas are too small. Really don't like the movable chairs in the main showroom. People scoot their chairs until you have no room for your legs.
evandbob Posted August 3, 2019 #40 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Vista and Dream class ships, followed by Conquest class. I stopped sailing Fantasy class ships a dozen years ago because I felt they were old back then. We're doing a Legend sailing in June 2020, but only because it is going to Norway for 9 nights. JMAE Posted August 3, 2019 #41 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Our favorite is the Spirit class of ships, we love the Pride. It has the best floor plans. We are on our 10th Pride cruise in September.
CheersPkg4Us Posted August 4, 2019 #42 Share Posted August 4, 2019 Gotta be the Horizon. We're really looking forward to a Conquest sailing in April, but after several other Carnival cruises we both would say Horizon !
Cruisergk Posted August 11, 2019 #43 Share Posted August 11, 2019 We like the Conquest class ships, especially the Glory. The Glory was our favorite cruise, the most upbeat, great cruise director, and all the employees were outstanding !!

HeyNowMama1315 Posted August 11, 2019 #45 Share Posted August 11, 2019 I'm not going to lie, yall have me looking up cruises on the Magic right now. Everyone seems to love her! I have a feeling Horizon will be my favorite ship (so far) of the very few I've been on. I'll report back in a month 😉
Out of Iowa Posted August 11, 2019 #46 Share Posted August 11, 2019 I really do like the Dream (and was disappointed when she left New Orleans, a fun port from which to embark!). Also am a fan of Carnival's Legend and Conquest.
mvaygibson Posted August 11, 2019 #47 Share Posted August 11, 2019 Great question! I really liked my Dream cruise overall; but another favorite is the Pride. Looking forward to the Fantasy this fall and the Magic next year.
