Another disappointing year from Cunard. Again not many Mediterranean itineraries (only 3 to central Med). It's been 4 years since they've made some proper itineraries about the area. In a period where other companies have a strong presence in the Med area, Cunard is absent. Only the new Queen Anne will fix the issue I think in 2022.

I have also Queen Mary's and Queen Elizabeth's (same gap as last year, not yet June, July & August) itineraries. I may post them later if I have time.

QM2's Christmas cruise is included in this year's pre-release itineraries. I think we've had to wait longer for that voyage to be announced in previous years.

 

It looks like QM2's Independence Day cruise will be 6 nights in 2021 (instead of 7) with only Halifax and Boston as port calls.

 

I wonder if the 5-night QM2 voyage from Hamburg on Nov 07-Nov 12 will end up being another chartered "Stars at Sea" voyage in 2021 as in previous years.

 

As SummmerInKefalonia indicated, once again there are gaps in QE's schedule from early June through most of September 2021. I suppose there's another Alaska season in the works for QE.

 

I suspect that 16-night QV voyage on May 01-May 17 from Hamburg to Southampton with no port calls indicates a refit during that time. QV is due for a refit in 2021.

This is another case (as in previous years) where a cruise booking website has posted the Cunard Summer/Autumn itineraries in August prior to Cunard's official announcement date. Here are the dates I have from the past few years when Cunard has actually announced and posted their Summer/Autumn schedules along with the dates the voyages have been available to book. I haven't heard the dates for this year yet, but they are likely to be sometime similar in early to mid September.

QM2 usually does 2 each of these , one r/t in Sept and one in Oct.

 

These same 2019 NYC/Quebec  itineraries  are now heavily discounted so that may be why the changes?

One  NY-Québec round-trip was the usual until this year and next. I also noticed the heavy discounts for these cruises this year, but there weren't a lot of staterooms available. In one case the first page for one of the voyages showed a surprisingly low rate for Princess Grill but when going to the next page they were actually sold out.

 

There are four calls by the QM2 in Halifax this year and there will be four next year, but only two in 2021.

Thanks, bluemarble for all that useful info. I believe the Fiordland National Park will be a 'sail-by' although a spectacular one at that. I was on a similar cruise this year - Queen Elizabeth entered three separate fjords so we could enjoy the views (just as ships do in Norway)  but did not drop anchor or dock at any port.

Well, probably Carnival believes they know what there customers want.

As a CWC Diamond Member and Cunard cruiser for about two decades, I am out.

Neither to the cold weather cruises appeal to me nor do I want, as European, to travel around the world to find a Cunard ship (and maybe to go to even the cold of Alaska) while all the warmth and the beauty of the Mediterranean are right at the doorstep.

 

And whats all this about Japan and Australia and what ever? Cunard has abandoned its traditional customers.

 

(And no, a monstrous Queen "Konigsdam, big and ugly" will not fix this.)

My parents now have the new brochure and the itineraries above are spot on. Apparently prices announced 17th September with booking opening up on 24th September.

 

Personally I’ve got my eye on the QV June 2021 Med cruise.

Perhaps because they're finding new ones here. The Melbourne cruise ship calendar shows QE visiting us 8 times in 2019-20 (Dec-Mar), 9 in 2020-21, 11 in 2021-22 and 12 in 2022-23, with one visit from QM2 each March.

That's what I've started seeing too on the Cunard UK website. If you actually try to start a booking, it gives you the error message "Unknown error. Please try again later." rather than a more meaningful error such as "This itinerary is not yet open for booking.", but that's about par for the course with the new website, I suppose. At least you can see the itineraries and prices in the UK.

 

Not seeing anything showing up yet for the new 2021 itineraries and prices on the US website, but it's still oh dark thirty on the morning of the 17th over here.

 

Edit: I see what you mean about the edit you added to your post. I'm not seeing "all" the new 2021 itineraries quite yet either on the Cunard UK site.

The Med cruise I had my eye on  looks quite expensive. May have to consider Baltic.

I hope in 2022 with the addition of Queen Anne things to look better for Med cruises. Currently Cunard is way behind the other companies in the Med.
