They said 'unfortunately' but hope to adopt from other kennels they trade with. I don't know if 'unfortunately' meant: female didn't breed, she wouldn't accept the male, or the pregnancy terminated early.
zelker #15 Posted August 2 A gorgeous day here in Juneau ... supposed to be 71 and not calling for any precipitation. 👍 Seas have been incredibly calm since we departed Seattle on Monday, no precipitation to speak of, just some fog yesterday starting at 500 AM as we started towards Tracy Arm but cleared off by 700.
Vict0riann #16 Posted August 2 We had a bit of rain here in Victoria this morning, but it has cleared away, and we really needed freshening up! I was wondering about Amsterdam... why? If she came out of Seattle, is she doing a 2-week cruise?
luvteaching #17 Posted August 2 Yes - she is doing the two week itinerary. It includes Ketchikan, Tracy Arm, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Anchorage, Homer, Kodiak, Hubbard Glacier, Sitka and Victoria (we get to be there from 1:00 - 11:00 - yay!). We love this itinerary and are on the next sailing!
Vict0riann #18 Posted August 2 We did it last year, on the Zaandam. I would have preferred the Amsterdam, but we really enjoyed the cruise. It is one I would do again!😀

The last 2 visits were [off] because of a 1 week charter - so 2 7-day cruises and then back to her regular schedule. I believe the charter was Olivia.

I’m posting from Tim Hortons near the tip of Lake Ontario and don’t think I’ll be in Toronto on time for the Volendam but hope springs eternal. Roy
Vict0riann #21 Posted August 2 Hi, Roy. I have a question for you - we were due to sail in to NY next year, but the cruise now ends in Boston. We want to head for New York, and I was thinking of suggesting to the roll call that we charter a bus for those of us who have plans in NY. I did ask on the Ports of Call forum, but no replies so far. Do you have any suggestions? The big problem is that it is Labor Day...

BTW, I'm at my hotel and I see Volendam is in the Gastineau, but my hotel is apparently using an ad blocker so I probably won't stay for the docking. Wishing all the R-class passengers a great day in Juneau. Roy
