Harmony Aug 4, 2019 - We're not on Empress anymore.

Recommended Posts

I’ve heard so much about spinning man that when I see him, it’ll be so anti climatic and I’ll probably just laugh.  They had a decent amount of diving on Allure and thats my favorite part of the show.  Do they have the trampoline on Harmony?

Maybe going the way of the Centrum aerialist act?  Got too dangerous, had to cancel too many shows...and were too many accidents?  Have seen problems with ice show cancellations also (and accidents).  Tough acts to do, even with a solid ground beneath their feet I would think.

Whatever the reason for the changes, it still was Oasis of Dreams that sold me on the Oasis class of ships. And yes, the first show we had reservations for was cancelled. I'd rather deal with rescheduling than lose the diving.

We've had shows cancelled because scuba diver was sick

I've seen the comedy shows performed while we are docked. Possibly in Labadee🤔

Have you signed up for the M&M? I think we are really close on the roll call to getting the minimum required to have one! There's been some chatter on our roll call...still a ways out...but it feels like it'll become a bit more active as we get closer:

I haven't but I will - just now getting into cruise planning mode... 🙂

The music will get stuck in your head.

I know they play it in the SL and maybe WJ as well

Picked Laura up from Mariner this morning.

Beautiful morning on the Space Coast

Noticed these luggage signs for Oasis 🤣

They were a little late clearing, but guess who was first off.

Time to start thinking about heading back to Harmony

On Harmony now, wasn’t fond of Fine Line. Too much dancing and banging and foot pounding. I didn’t see the point — seemed random to me. Similar to HIRO on Symphony which we didn’t care for.

I don’t think they used the trampoline at all for Fine Line.

Watching them set set up for Hideaway Heist which is at 1 and 3 this afternoon.

Will report back 😜

A Not So Fine Line 😉

Last week I alluded that A Fine Line is not all that it's cracked up to be.

Just sit back and let me explain.

They use the biggest, deepest, coolest pool at sea, and there is almost no diving.

There's a little jumping, but not much diving.

What you do get is really loud annoying music

Irritating Strobe lights

Spinning, Splashing, running

Some acrobatics

Dripping aerial performer

Slack line is kinda fun

High wire act

More splashing and stomping

TMNT costumes (that was good, I forget who said that)

But the problem is it's a freaking three ring circus (look that up youngsters)

There is so much happening at the same time you miss half of it.

And doing it in the dark doesn't help. You never know where to look next

Now we sat in the third row of the premium seats. That was probably to close.  I left with a sore neck.

Oh and I'll discuss the site lines of the Aqua Theater later. Something I never noticed before. It may be a flaw in the entire Class.

FWIW, Oasis of Dreams is much better, the show kind of flows seamlessly at a much easier pace.

And they dive a lot.😁

and much better use of the synchronized swimmers.  In A fine Line they just keep getting pulled halfway out of the pool by the ninja stomping, splashing chair pushing, acrobats

But both shows could do with less movie screen time, that's just irritating.

OK rant ending, enjoy a few pictures. Keep in mind, these are taken with my cell phone. Don't expect the quality of a semi professional like @twangster

Spinning Man is still spinning. He eventually walks, then runs, then splashes and frowns. Spinning is the best

OK this young lady kind of floats over us all the time. I think she's running in place as well.

But now she transforms into one of those firefighting planes they use for forrest fires.  they dip her in the water, her TMNT costume picks up a couple gallons of water, and then they fly her over the theater to make sure everybody gets wet. Not just those being splashed by the dancing Ninjas.  Oh, and then they dip her again and repeat.  It takes a while to get everyone wet.

Sorry, but I didn't get any good slack line pics.  Those guys are fun to watch. I'll bet their routine is a bit painful.  Guys would understand why.

I also missed the high wire, I think I have some pics on my phone from last year.

After the high wire, we get two high divers, one is female.  That was cool.

Now typically the high dive ends the show.

Nope, more splashing. Lots more splashing, since I was on the end, I gracefully snuck out.

And back to the cabin to call it a night.  It was a weird day.

St Maarten and the lovely Wanpen tomorrow

A perfect review. I’m with you ( that’s scary😜) Oasis  and Allure shows much better. Let’s hope they done change the show on those ships at dry dock. I can se them adding the aerial contraption. Let’s hope not.

P.S. not that I didn’t like your photos, but I cut them to shorten the “quote”.

But thank you for you thoughts

For sure.  It usually perferates a cruiser's system after they hit Diamond, and is usually visible at Guest Services.  😉 LOL.

Yes and agreed.  I still love the original ATS on Oasis and Allure, and after close two 10 years old they are now RC Classics.

Yeah, but I would fail to get the job during my audition.  😄

Have a fantabulous time (again! 🤗) on Harmony.  I have to wait until December for my cruise.  Sigh.... 😞

On other ships we've seen tacos, enchiladas, mexican stew, rice, refried beans, several other entrees whose names escape me.

Thanks.  I was kind of hoping for more than the basics which is why I asked.

Any idea if they have things like Chile Rellenos, Mole, upscale fajitas, grilled snapper, etc

Every time I enter an Aqua Theater for a show I cringe just a little bit until I see that the big screens have no such message. Unfortunately, I do recognize well what is in that photo.

Ok, this is going to include next week. What kind of things do I need to find out next week?  I seem to have 3-4 open requests.

CR Signature tier security line

Izumi as a D+ BOGO

Large group in MDR

Chocolate buffets and fountains

If you get the chance....you were going to verify that getting money for slots using your onboard account doesn't incur a fee.

Also, another CK question.  Can you substitute a side item that is already being offered on the menu?  In other words, if you get an entrée that has a side you are sensitive to, can you order basmati rice or roasted potatoes instead, if it is already on the menu for that night?  Also, is there a problem getting sauces on the side?  I looked at the CK menu on the app and noticed everyday appetizers and entrees along with the offerings that change every night, but I didn't see anything like a baked potato or rice on the everyday offerings.  Thanks in advance!

Yes on fajitas.  There's always a fish, but I don't recall what kind.

Definitely on the slots

Swapping sides and sauce on the side is not a problem
