richbum Posted August 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Has anyone done this? Can you tell me the good/bad about it? I found it on trip advisor. How is the rum? How far from port (Coming on the Carnival Magic)..Thanks in advance for your time.
Rare crewsweeper Posted August 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2019 Might be interesting. Appears to be the bottling plant, but a number of rum samples are available. Might be better off heading to their restaurant nearby. http://www.sxmtoppers.com/

We might have to go there! Hubby wanted to do some kind of rum tour...and to be honest, this was the cheapest I have found on our stops...and they do unlimited samples....San Juan does the Bacardi tour...but it costs twice as much...and you get one drink... mscreneet Posted August 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2019 I just contacted the distillery and Im super excited about the tour. I did ask about how far of a ride it is from the cruise port and I was told 20-30 minutes. Im wondering how much a taxi will be to / from the cruise port? Rare crewsweeper Posted August 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2019 The Taxi Association used to publish their rates. Guess you have to contact them now. http://taxistmaarten.com/zones-rates/
TMR2 Posted August 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2019 https://stmaartencruiseexcursions.com/excursions/rum-sun-beach-day/ they offer rum tasting tours too and includes a stop at Sunset beach to watch the airplanes land. It costs more but includes all the transport costs. I'm pretty sure its the same location

RedB Posted September 21, 2019 #8 Share Posted September 21, 2019 I did this tour last year. Their banana vanilla cinnamon rhum is now my favorite. If you don't care about going to Maho Beach you may be better off booking directly through Toppers. We did the rhum tour with another group that booked directly. They went to a beach by the resturant you have lunch at instead and payed quite a bit less than us.
