Lol, ok, I saw this new package also !

So, the Premium Package is priced at $69.00 and the Premium Plus is priced at $67.50.

Does anyone know what the difference is ?

I as well as others might want too know also, lol.

Thanx

I just called Celebrity as it showed up in my Cruise Planner as well.  "Apparently" it is the Premium Package PLUS 2 bottles of wine included per day, a wine tasting experience and $50 in Casino free play per day and yes, it showed up as $89.10CDN per person per day for me and the Premium is listed at $91.08CDN per person per day.

We already have the Premium Package included in our 4 perks for our upcoming cruise, so agent told me that there is no upgrading allowed in our situation - you have to buy the package only, was what he told me.  Now, I don't know if you already "purchased" the Premium package (as opposed to us getting it included already) then you might be able to pay to upgrade - not sure about that.

As I find it unbelievable that they would give you an additional 2 bottles of wine per day over and above your drink package drinks and also the $50 casino free play per day - I questioned the agent numerous times that this was allowed "per day" and he said it was.  It will be interesting to see what people are "actually" getting onboard with this package.

After reading this I called Celebrity.  Apparently the $50 casino play and the two bottles of wine are only given once during the cruise, not daily.   In addition to this you also get a wine tasting valued at $35 + gratuities and daily replenishment of the mini bar although I didn't ask for details of what is included in that.  This does not include drinks purchased at bars so it would not be a good deal for us.

So odd that it's priced at less than the 'regular' premium package though! I wonder if that's introductory pricing just to see what kind of interest there is.

MartinsCruise - as I always say....you can call Celebrity 10 different times, talk to 10 different agents and get 10 different answers...

Well, the agent I spoke with insisted it was "per day" and not per cruise (& I interrogated him quite thoroughly-he actually put me on hold & checked with a supervisor).  It would also not make any sense to pay only $89.10CDN one time fee for 2 bottles of wine, $50 casino play and a $35 Wine Experience - that would be "too good of a deal" for Celebrity - LOL.  The agent did tell me that this was in addition to having all the Premium drinks available in the package.  The words "mini bar" never crossed his lips. So....again....who knows!?!  We probably won't know until someone is onboard who purchased it.

Happy cruising,

I just called Captain’s Club and was told that it included the premium beverage package and two free bottles of wine if you upgraded from an existing package. If you purchase the package outright, it includes 2 bottles of wine, $50 casino obc, wine tasting, maccallan tasting.  Right now, the premium plus is priced at $10/day in my cruise planner, $2 less than the regular premium upgrade from classic so I upgraded. Didn’t sound like they really knew what was in the package for sure

Even though I did chuckle when I read your comment,  I certainly agree when you wrote "sad but true" 😐.  Celebrity is our preferred line so I have to admit that I don't read much on the other cruise line's boards but did find it interesting to hear that you find this inconsistency common among all cruise lines.

LisaMarie18 - did they tell you 2 bottles of wine & $50 Casino play "per day" or "per cruise"? Were you able to upgrade from a free beverage package perk or did you actually purchase the package to begin with?

Reel Love - Yes - RCCL is very bad but Celebrity may get 1st prize based on my recent experience for our upcoming cruise.  At least Crown & Anchor at Royal "seem" to know things - while Captain's Club at Celebrity - in my recent experience - does not seem to have any answers to any of my questions - very surprising to me.  HAL is somewhat better - at least they try to find things out if they don't know.  Princess is not good either - ha.  Most of the people are very nice - I don't think it is their fault - I think it comes down to the training...

I’ll wait to see how it pans out. I have 3 months to my cruise.  Would be nice they got it clear but it’s rhe usual cluster with them.  I upgraded to the premium when it was on sale from the classic last year.  But as usual celebrity pricing strategies makes no sense.

@CanuckCruizer, I have the impression it was two bottles of wine for the week.  The service rep mentioned that we would need to go to guest services to pick up our wine. Not positive about the casino on board credit but I would guess it was per sailing. Right now it’s priced two dollars less than the regular upgrade to premium which does not include the two bottles of wine. We had received the classic beverage package as a promo selection and I was able to upgrade to the premium plus on the phone with Captains Club.  Worst case, I saved 20% on the upgrade 🙂

This is very interesting offer !

I have the Classic Package and will probably upgrade to the Premium Package on embarkation day, possibly to get a better offer.

But, if it is in fact that the Premium Plus Package is what everyone is saying that would be such a great offer.

I agree with previous posters that you can call Celebrity 10 times and could get 10 different answers, I know, it's happened to me !

Interesting that they would let you upgrade with a promo package when I was told no - wish someone would know what is what - ha.  Also very funny that I argued with the agent saying that it could not be two bottles per day and he insisted it was.  Thanks for letting me know.

I’ll wait until I see it in writing.  As what people are being told is all o er tge place and some just does make sense.

Upgrade from the Classic to Premium  $10 pd  20% =$12

Upgrade from the Classic to Premium+ $7.50pd + 20% = $9 and get everything in the Premium package plus  2 bottles of wine $50 casino credit & a wine tasting😳.

I just did a on-line chat with  Cust Service.  I was told the Premium Plus package is not available as an upgrade from the Classic Package IF the Classic package was a booking perks.

That would match our planner.  I upgraded 1 of our perk classics during the last sale.  When looking at the planner today i was only given the option to upgrade to premium, but not premium plus.

Looking in my cruise planner, there is a new option for the drinks package.

Premium +

It is actually cheaper than the Premium package, but there are no details of the package.

Anyone seen this on-board yet?

I just noticed this same thing about 30 minutes ago.  I can't find anything about it.

We sail on Eclipse in two weeks, so I check the Cruise Planner and yes, it shows up as an option. However, there is no description at all as to what it is or what's included.

It IS priced at $67.50 and the option to add it  to cart is there, but I already have the Premium package as a perk. I'd love to know if I can go for the up(down)grade, but I doubt it.

i can see it at £54.68 on my planner, the normal premium is £55.89 and classic £47.49. I don;t have a drinks package (as booked a very cheap inside room). Be interesting to see whats in it, as if its bottles of wine, my partner can order it. I assume though they don't expect any one adult to drink 2 bottles a day PLUS the other drinks? as that would seem a bit excessive.
