Hi,

Just an update on the Premium Plus Package.

I’m currently onboard the Equinox and pre purchased the Premium plus package online for both of us in the room. Two bottles of wine, invitation to wine tasting and casino credit was waiting in room. I called guest relations to ask what mini bar items are included and if it includes the Pringle’s and other non beverage items.  Guest relations insisted that mini bar is not included. I told them to double check and they said they will call me back. I got a call back and again they advised mini bar is not included and asked me to bring down documents showing proof that it’s included. I had screen shot the original offer as I had a feeling this would be an issue.

I went down to guest relations and again they advised mini bar not included. I showed the screen shot so they went to the back of the office to check. After 10 min the ships beverage bar manager came out and advised me that all things including non beverage items will be included and replenished once a day.

Ill check at at the end of the cruise to make sure this will be taken care of and of not charged and let you all know.

Hi.. did u get options on the 2 bottles of wine? Are there really 161 wine options u can choose from bottle or glass? I'll be on Equinox next week. Thank you so much for info on this package.

Enjoy ur cruise!

We didn’t get any options. There were just two bottles in the cabin when we arrived. I just accepted these two bottles, it doesn’t seem to be worth the worry or effort to get them changed as it seems only the bar manager onboard knows about this new package.

If you as well as your cabin mate purchased the +package then shouldn't you each get two bottles of wine?

That’s a good point and very valid question! I have a feeling we won’t even drink the ones in the room now so I will not take it up with them or argue this point. Hopefully they iron things out and the crew become more informed abou P+ quickly.

Just out of interest, Ozziecruiser, would you get a price on those bottles they gave you.  I suspect they are, at best, on the classic package.....essentially house wines.  Barwick Cruiser is also correct, you should each get 2 bottles of wine.  I think they would be very hard pressed to find 161 wine options.  As another activity, ozziecruiser, ask them for a list 🙂

On another note....read the following (note the highlights)

Enjoy all the benefits of the Premium beverage package, which includes all the top-shelf spirits (89 options), vintage wine (161 options), liqueurs & cognacs (24 options), beer (44 options) and champagne, plus the following:

That text is very clear...ALL.....so ozziecruiser, enjoy johnny walker blue, Dom Perignon, etc.   Clearly, they are included.  Oh and you might as well order some outstanding wine because ALL of the vintage wines are included.

That's what you paid for.....enjoy....and please report back.

Celebrity marketing strikes again 🙂

Package plus included two bottles for the cabin. They were in our cabin when we arrived. We did not choose them and received 2 bottles of Anakena Carmenere 2018.

I upgraded to the prem package for $100 each by just calling.  Then there is the $20 each for gratuities.  Easy peasy!!

Hi Sandi !   So did you upgrade to the premium package , or the premium plus package ?  I have the classic as a perk so I don't think I can upgrade to the premium plus.

Hi, yes having a great cruise, thanks!

The $50 casino credit will both get. Casino just needs an ID with your room key to apply the credit.

You definitely do not get Vueve Cliquot champagne included in your package. Although you can pay the difference to drink that, $15 is your limit.

Yes, housekeeping have been replenishing the minibar each day. There has been no charge to our account. Food and beverages are included in the mini bar.

Celebrity is missing an opportunity for additional revenue. I have all 4 perks on an upcoming cruise but would definitely pay more to upgrade to Premium+ if they offered it. Short-sighted of them.

I have purchased PremiumPlus package for cruise next week.  It should definitely include 2 bottles of wine PER PACKAGE purchased (i.e. 4 bottles if both pax in stateroom purchase it) and they should be from a decent selection and not just assigned.

The package clearly states it includes 2 bottles of wine per package purchased, then over and above this, if both guests in stateroom purchase it, unlimited mini-bar is also then included.

Given that the minibar has a retail value of $320 if you tally all the items in it when fully stocked, I guess feasibly one could go through $2k worth of minibar items in a 7-day cruise :classic_blink:

For me it was only $70/pp more than the Premium package, and the $50/pp in Casino Credit essentially brought the cost down to $20/pp additional.  Not bad for 4 bottles of wine and $2k of minibar items hehe.

French champagne is included in the Premium (and PPlus) packages, it is not Veuve Clicquot but it is a true French champagne, it is available by the glass from Cellarmasters or equivalent.  I found it very acceptable.  As noted above, there's also the option to choose more expensive wines/champagne by glass and just pay the extra amount over $15 (I believe Veuve was a $5 upcharge per glass).

Hello,

Happy you had taken a snapshot of the perk before leaving kudos to you.

I also think you should get 2 bottles plus $50 on each package.

Wonder if 3 adults share the cabin and only 2 buy the package will the minibar still be free ?

As for the minibar is it possible for you to take a picture of the list price and items in it and of the actual inside the minibar.

Just wondering what’s in it.

thanks for your help

sea ya

Interesting, Celebrity has significantly downgraded/reduced the minibar offering it looks like based on the post above.  Only vodka now and no other spirits, and only coke/diet coke - so it's "vodka & coke" for the only cocktail selection.  Weak!

Here is the previous bar list that had several spirits, multiple mixers and sodas, and multiple beer selections.

Sneaky! They say minibar is included but then they remove most of the selection.

"Offerings may vary" blah blah legal cover-their-a$$ language naturally protects them from being accused of false advertising. But boy, this sure seems underhanded to me.

I agree.  What kind of a mini-bar only offers vodka & coke and no other spirits or soda or mixer selections?!  No wonder they're ok to include it now that it's been reduced by 2/3rds of its contents!

And herein is another discrepancy.  I certainly don't recall 161 "Vintage Wines" being included on the Premium Package.  And the wording implies that the standard Premium Package also includes all of those!  I believe there's about 24 different wines by the glass on the Premium Package in total, certainly not 161.

Well, I for one (1) would not expect (naively) that the full offerings of 'beverages' in the mini bar would be the full compliment.. I can imagine a full wipe out of the mini bar and then some daily...

As for the number of 'beverages' available at the restaurants, bars and other places aboard, I took it mean the number which can be available not the total number available on any one sailing...

Which begs the question for those looking for a 'real' deal by taking this package, will you be happy with what you know now to be the offerings shown as being available in the 'daily limited' mini-bar and the offerings you know that are usually available (or not) on-board in other venues where beverages can be had.

As for being 'sneaky' they are telling us up front what will be available in the mini-bar and not waiting until boarding to find out... and then being told NO by the room attendant when asking for more or other.. since we have yet to have reports back on how this is working, we do not know if items are exchangeable for our particular tastes and desires or not.

I will be interested in learning further how this shakes out for our future sailings to purchase.

Cheers and bon voyage
