Biodegradable insect repellent?

We are doing the ship's tour in Costa Maya to Bacalar Fort & 7 Colours Lagoon in September. I was just reading the excursion description and it says to bring biodegradable sunscreen and biodegradable insect repellent. I've already purchased reef friendly sunscreen so I hope that will suffice, but does anyone know of any brands of biodegradable insect repellent? I searched on Amazon and it pulled up all the usual brands - OFF!, etc - which I'm sure are not biodegradable as they're not advertised anywhere as such. I wasn't even aware that there was such a product! TIA 🙂

"Biodegradable" and "reef friendly" seem to be the same concept.

 

A little researching indicates bug repellents that don't use DEET and do use nature repellents like eucalyptus, citronella, peppermint and a few others, should meet the requirements.

 

Amazon does have some of these.
