Princess vs Disney for Tween

We've cruised twice before on Disney and are considering a 7 day Eastern Caribbean Princess cruise.  Our daughter will be 12 at the time of sailing.  How is Shockwaves for her age on Princess?  She's a very outgoing only child.  We are looking at the March 1 sailing - will there be other children on board her age?  We want to make sure she is entertained.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has cruised both with similar age children.

Our DS was 12 on our last Princess cruise and he had a great time.  He has also been on Disney and Royal and enjoyed them equally.  Our RCCL was in Oct, not a lot of kids on a 15nt Hawaiian cruise.  The staff sure made them all feel very special.  Knowing Princesses kids club, she will probably love it and make fast friends.  The biggest difference from Disney is they do shut down at lunch and dinner times. Then you get to embarrass them at dinner.  March to the middle/end of April is Spring Break season.  There just might be a lot more kids than you think. HTH!

We have just come back from a Princess Cruise to Norway, eldest child is 12,   who loved it.

We have done Disney World Florida a number of times but eldest doesn't want to go anymore :classic_sad:

We cruised during European school summer holiday so lots of families.  There were over 300 under 13's on the cruise,  with over 120 in the 8-12 age group, but only a handful used the children's club, there were lots of family events and entertainment  provided throughout the cruise, especially on the two sea days.

From comments made on other posts this isn't always the case on warmer cruise itineraries.
