This cruise has been interesting because of the hurricane. The ship is only at half capacity, due to many guests cancelling their cruise.

we had to change itinerary and we are now currently in Mexico. Cozumel yesterday, and Costa Maya today.

We still have no idea what is happening next Cruise, as we are not even sure if guests will be able to join the ship.

Seems like you may come in late Thursday.

I'll miss meeting you, but Laura will be on for the next 3/4.

You should meet her, she's Prime with Casino Royale

I would love to hear about your experience calculating points, especially for table game players.  Is it just buy in / cash out and average bet times number of hours?  My points from cruise to cruise are all over the place.  I play table games almost exclusively, but will drop a little money in a slot machine once in a while.  Slot points are always accurate (since they're automatic).

My points earning at land-based casinos is pretty straightforward.  If I check my P&L statement, it looks pretty accurate.  My points earning on RCI ship table games almost seems random and doesn't reflect my real table play at all.

Our computer system works out the points based on average size bet and time played. It's not just about how much money you win/lose.

If not asked already, how do you not go crazy living with another person in such tight quarters for 6 months?!

I personally enjoy living with a cabin mate, as you form a really good friendship with one another.

A lot of the time we will have different schedules to each other, so there is also plenty of time to have the cabin to yourself.

I would think any kind as they can trade.  We do tend to give cash but I know people who put together goody bags with candy and gift cards they can use in port like Starbucks or grocery stores.  For example, right across the street from the Baltimore port is a Harris Teeter Grocery store where a lot of crew pickup necessities and snacks and they sell their own gift cards.

Here in Port Canaveral, we like going to - Wal Mart, TJ Max, and Ross. We have a crew shuttle that takes us to these places.

Loving this thread and really appreciate your videos. I'm joining a RCCL ship in 4 days as a "Flying Physician" - filling in for a doctor who is on break. I've just started putting together my own Vlog, and absolutely appreciate how hard you worked to make a personable, helpful series of videos. Can't wait to see what else you have planned for your channel!

Currently editing my vlogs from Christmas and NYE! My favourite time of the year to be on cruise ships!

It's a lot easier to accumulate points from the slots. Roughly, $5 will give you 1 point.

Ok First request.

Describe in detail how the gratuity system on board works and end the speculation on these boards.

All tips go into a tip-pool, and the tips get distributed evenly between that department.

You can give tips to specific crew members through guest services.

Is this for casino tips or for waiter, etc.?
