People on RCI don't dress up as much as we used to -- I see lots of men in just nice shirts and slacks, but many will still be in suits, and a few in a tuxedo.

 

 

 

 

Not necessarily a blanket statement. On cruises in Europe formal dress is still very strongly observed, and, in fact, appears to be growing in popularity again.  (Granted, the OP is cruising Stateside so formal night is far less so than European sailings)

Another royal virgin, booked Radiance for 12 nights and Serenade for 39, normally sail Princess but also Celebrity and tried P&O Aus and Cunard, so interested in the suggestions being made.

Prepaid tips best way to go. You pay for the first day get there early to check in... Never can tell when the doors will open..
