Electrical outlets on Bliss

Are there any outlets by the head of the bed?

There are usb outlets on each side of the bed by the reading lights.

Thanks. That’s good for my phone but not my cpap. Will pack extension cord. Really thought they would do better with electrical outlets on the new ships.

They have 3 US and 1 European outlets on the desktop. NCL intentionally does not put electric outlets next to the beds (Haven suites as an exception). We carry a 12 foot and 6 foot extension cord since the desk and bed configuration can put the outlets far from where you need it.

Something you should know about electricity on cruise ships.  When you’re at home, in a mall or at the theater, the electricity is wired for your convenience, your entertainment and your safety.  

 

When you’re asea, no one inasmuch as electricity is concerned, gives a crap about your convenience or entertainment.

 

So, you should know that going in to it.  This is on all cruise ships.

 

The focus of the electrical system goes from what makes you happy, to what keeps essential machinery  happy, and the safety of the ship herself from fire.

 

The fact that you even have available electrical outlets in your stateroom, instead of having to go to a central location down below to charge your devices is a privilege given to you.  So yes, an extension cord will work nicely.

 

And when you lay your head down on your pillow and there is no outlet anywhere near your pile of cotton and polyester bedding say “thank you” to the engineers who designed the safest system possible so we can even have electricity in our rooms, rather than ruminate over whether they could have “done better.”
