Nassau ideas?

We have always snorkeled in Nassau, can you guys suggest what to do there? We were thinking of just staying on the boat but might want to just walk off and find something to do! THANKS!!

The only advice I can give you is to not use Breezes through Resort for a Day.  I still want that money back 🙂

We did book the British Colonial Hilton once for the day and it was great, walkable from the cruise port.

Other than shopping there's not much within easy walking distance.

 

We once took a cab to Cabbage Beach.  Nice, clean, not particularly crowded.  You can buy a drink package, rent an umbrella and/or a jet ski, and chill out.  There's an incline to and from the road to the beach that presented a challenge for me but not for the younger crowd.

 

I stayed on the ship last time we visited Nassau and will probably do so again next time.  I choose that itinerary because I love Key West.

We did Bites of Nassau Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour from Tru Bahamian Tours. It was a great tour and we got to sample food from a few different restaurant restaurants and tour Graycliff.

Last time we walked to the Queens staircase and toured the fort. We then zig zagged our way back to the ship.

Are there any umbrellas available at Junkanoo Beach?  Any shopping nearby?

We walked to the fort, queens staircase, chocolate, cigar, distillery, and back.  Also looking at churches and things along the way.
