Hanukkah onboard Adventure of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Hi all -

We will be sailing AOS 12/21-29 and Hanukkah starts 12/22.  Are we able to bring an electric Menorah onboard?  TIA.

I don't have an answer, but would love to hear what people have to say - we'll be on the Anthem over Hanukkah.  I think a battery powered menorah is our best bet.  Definitely no candles.

I believe in the past they have allowed battery operated menorahs. Not sure about cords.

And every cruise I’ve been on during Hanukkah, has had some sort of candle lighting each night.

Enjoy m

Ps-  The menorah in the picture belongs to one of the ship’s (I believe) engineers.  The original one they had waiting for us did not work, so the engineer sent one of the staff back to his cabin to get his personal menorah.

I concur with cruisegirl1There is an electric hanukiyah in the Chapel.  I can't imagine they would deny you bringing your own but best to call first.

Ha Ha - I can only imagine the  blank stare on the face of the  customer service agent  when you ask.  And  then something like,    "you  want to bring a what for what holiday?  May I put you on a brief hold?"
