Dear Mariner Guest,

We have some unfortunate news to share. With Hurricane Dorian’s increased strength, current projections, and the need for Port Authorities to assess when they’ll reopen, there’s a high possibility that the ship’s arrival into Port Canaveral will be further delayed. Your vacation time is very important to us and we don’t want to take any chances, so we have no choice but to cancel our September 4th sailing.

If you’re still interested in sailing with us, we do have an awesome option for you! Harmony of the Seas is sailing on September 5th, and we’d be more than happy if you’d join us onboard this cruise instead. The itinerary is outlined below. We can move you and you won’t have to pay anything extra! Yeah, that’s right, we said the swap is for free! Harmony’s September 5th itinerary is below.

While we hope you choose to rebook the September 5th Harmony of the Seas cruise, if you decide not to sail, we’ll provide you with a full refund of your Mariner of the Seas cruise to the original form of payment. This includes any non-refundable deposits, shore excursions, packages, or any pre-purchased items. We’re also currently working with some of our airline partners, as some have agreed to waive change fees for our guests due to this special circumstance. Please contact your airline service provider for additional details.

And regardless, as previously promised, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit in the value of 2 days of the total cruise fare paid, in hopes you’ll join us on another cruise in the future. This amount will be based on the cruise fare portion, non-inclusive of taxes and fees. You can expect to receive your certificate by Friday, September 6th, 2019.

Click here to select to rebook on Harmony or cancel your cruise!  You can also reach us at 1-800-529-6918 to let us know what you decided, but due to the storm and multiple itinerary changes, wait times are a little longer than normal.

We are truly sorry for the storm’s impact on your vacation. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this unexpected circumstance. We hope to welcome you onboard soon.

Sincerely,

Owen and I also did a little Dude Perfect action with in the cabin. 10 minutes for me to get the ball into the can and 50 minutes to load it to YouTube.

Impressive.  Between this and the lonely elevator video, you seem to have a little extra time on your hands.

Does it feel like a normal cruise, or does it somehow feel like bonus time with nothing specific to do.  I'm a planner, and I think it would feel weird to have a few days with nothing specific planned.

Dinner tonight at Chops. We had Peter for our waiter again.  Great guy, really good with Owen and very personable.  Consumed our gift of wine from the Hotel Director. Thanks again. We then dropped in the the Labor Day Party.

We bumped into a Genie from our past and he asked how things we going, and if we needed anything. Nope we said, all good. Then Owen chimed “Popcorn would be nice”.  Low and behold this was awaiting us in our cabin.

Wrapping up the night with a snack and The Weather Channel.

Wow! I just can't believe how much there is to do on these Oasis-class ships!

Guess this is probably an activity only for Deck 17 Sky and Star Class folks, though.

Tomorrow we are moving the aft elevator bank.

Im trying to catch back up.  Ive been down and out all weekend.  I cant believe I missed this cruise by one week 😂   I decided to take the future cruise credit as many did from the 9-1-19 cruise.  I just dont want my first Oasis class experience to be 3 nights and thats IF Harmony can get back by Thursday.      I am headed to Alaska next August on Ovation.  My countdown clock starts over but Im really excited.

It sucks but but you are so correct. 3 days will not do it justice. Having never sailed on a Quantum class ship I would know that three days wouldn’t do it either. You’ll enjoy Alaska. It is amazing. It’s just unfortunate that your countdown clock had to restart.

Enjoy your official extra day..are they lowering the price on the 2nd leg of your unexpected B2B?

I’d like to think so. 🤔😉

Are the beds hard?

A bit. Not as soft as the ones years ago, but I’ve slept on harder.

Lisa and I were just chatting about your question, and we both feel that your second paragraph is very true. Sure it’s easy to lay by the pool, but now we have 3 sea days on the trip home.  However I’d rather 3 Seaver’s days than be stuck at an airport for three days.

As for the videos, I would’ve made them anyhow. LOL.

I should probably already know this, but what is your brand of choice?

This week it's Bay Street. $6 cheaper than NA at Total Wine. That $6 bought me a half gallon of Tillamook ice cream. 😁

Currently have Ciroc, Absolut, and Kettle One as well.

Why would you only receive a FCC of 2 days John? Wasn't it originally a 4 night cruise?

Because the original adjusted itinerary was two days short. They promised us two days OBC, plus two days FCC.

If we just cancel, we get full refund, plus this 2 day FCC.  Seems sweet.

Downside is I partially paid for this cruise with a $500 casino certificate.  Not sure how that will work out.
