at the Nassau Colonial Hilton 2 years ago, our ship GOS along with 4 other ships, very crowded and LOUD, service subpar and very slow, they no doubt were overbooked, no refund was available since we (2) checked-in and had 2 beers each according to the staff, never got our food so we went back to ship and enjoyed a nice lunch in the WJ

will say prior visits were great

positive = was able to get full refund from AX

We did a day pass at the Park Royal in Cozumel a couple years ago as a walk up.  It was about half the price of prebooking online.

I wonder if Colonial Hilton would be the same if you just walked up?  It looks nice.  If it is the one I am thinking of, didn’t they film some scenes inside for one of the Bond movies?

I'm not sure about walk-up, but I booked a day pass through Resort for a Day for the Colonial Hilton last year after looking at all of the options -- including booking straight through the hotel. It was less expensive using Resort for a Day and what was included was the same.

Andrew and family -- I've enjoyed reading your adventures the past two weeks. Are you sure you can't extend it another? What am I going to do at work next week??

Not that I have seen.

I suspect Royal wants people to donate directly through PADF rather than having to handle it themselves. That's the message they are repeating on social media.

Makes sense. Also Royal doesn’t do tax donations.

Exterior photos

The door to the left goes to the master bedroom. The sliding door to the right goes into the living room area.

This little sitting area is on the port side of the ship and the wall to the right is the back wall of the master bedroom.

This would be the view that you get when you leave the master living room and step out on the balcony.  The view would be the same if you left from the master bedroom.

This little bar seating area is the immediate view that looks down to the Aqua Theatre, and you can see the solid mounted viewing binoculars in the background.

There is a table and six as well as two loungers with a lower table. The breeze can be quite nice out here.

Plans tonight

  • Hibachi. 7:30.
  • Fine Line at 10 I think.

Might do a a time lapse of Fine Line from the balcony. Could be interesting.  Hopefully some sunset pics too.

Laundry just arrived as well. After today at the beach I can tell you that shower tonight is going to be very spectacular.

I cant believe I caught up.

Thank you for this and all your past reviews.  As someone that will probably never have the opportunity to travel in the cabins you do thank you for taking us along.

As I always say, you just need to be on board and you make it what it is from there. Total proof of that was our cruise last year in the balcony cabin, we had a blast.

Thanks for following along, in the past and now.

A lot of choppers in the air here as well. They are all headed north to Freeport and Great Abaco.

The hotel also had lots of personnel in from search and rescue. There were also aid recovery groups. I must have seen at least 20 men and women as well as two sniffer recovery dogs.

I would have to guess that they were working in shifts and being flown back when their shift is over.

You shall aft 😉 to wait and see. LOL

Lol....I’m dying to know too! We have the same ATS on Allure booked for 11/29/2020 but  really love the CLS. We have also stayed in the Panoramic Grande Suite, which was hands down the best suite ever.....but I worry about the lower ceilings and long hallway walk in the ATS, so very curious and patiently waiting your opinion 😏

Mariner is collecting money, I think cash, and I read Anthem is applying it to sea pass.

I wonder if they are doing a competition between ships

WTH?  They changed our flight to 7am. No way.

After 20 minutes on the phone we now have a 12:30 flight to Ottawa with a three hour later over before our flight home.

At least you are not one of those people who disconnects when they cruise. Finding out when you arrived at the airport would not have been pleasant.
