Horseback riding

We are thinking about doing the horseback riding as an excursion in September.  I would love to know what someone who has done this thinks of it.

Me too, I've had my eye on doing this horseback riding tour https://stmaartencruiseexcursions.com/excursions/trail_beach_horseback-riding-tour/  I've always wanted to go in the water with a horse like that

It says to wear something over your bathing suit but it also recommends long pants.  Also close toed shoes.  I understand all of these suggestions but when we go in the water everything will get soaked.  Sneakers seem like the right shoe but there must be something else we can wear on our feet.  I really don’t want my sneakers getting soaked.  Any suggestions?  Maybe someone who has done this before

I haven’t done this tour, but my dive booties are the best. You can walk on rocks and your feet don’t get hurt. They cover your whole foot and are made to get wet. 

Just go by water shoes

When I have riden the horse into the water , we first dismounted and the saddle was taken off so we then ride bareback. No shoes or stirrups needed.
