Mare , New Caledonia

We had wanted to go to  Yedjele beach at the Mare port . But it seems that Royal is not offering transport to the beach on this stop. Does anyone know if there is local transport available at the dock area ?

That sounds really strange. That transport to the beach is a licence to print money for the cruise line. I would expect that if cruise line doesn't arrange transport that the locals would still provide it. I hope they do for your sake.

Its not showing up for my P&O cruise either, but its possibly sold out as I am sure it was showing up in the past. What else is there to do on Mare if I cant get to Yedjele beach?

This is pretty much the only thing to do in Mare.  I don't think they even can sell out as the service runs like a shuttle all day.

 

It might just be that the don't even bother putting it on the planner anymore!

I’m pretty sure last time we went (Dec18) it wasn’t in the Cruise Planner. 

However, the tickets were available to buy onboard.

It was on the cruise planner, it disappeared for a while but its now back for my cruise so we have now booked it
