ms Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam in Juneau September 2, 2019

Recommended Posts

Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam will be spending Labor Day in Juneau.  Eurodam will be at the AS dock from 1300-2300 and Nieuw Amsterdam at the CT dock from 1300-2200.

Also in port are Ruby Princess at the FKL dock from 1100-2215 and Solstice at the AJ dock from 1330-2200.

Typical Juneau weather is back for this week with mostly cloudy skies and a good chance of rain each day.  The prediction for Monday is for overcast skies with some showers.  High will only be 55F/13C and the low 51F/10C.  Sunrise is at 5:59 am and sunset at 7:55 pm.

Next up: Oosterdam on Tuesday.

Thanks for the reminder and I hope to attend the arrival of the two ships.

We are drawing to the end of the Alaska season.  By the end of the month there will be no more weekly cruises to Alaska.  It s always sad to see the season end.

Looks like Nieuw Amsterdam has just completed her rendezvous with St. Phillip.

The Eurodam's Pilot has made his usual radio call to inform other traffic of the ship's presence.

I suspect Carole will be away a little longer than she planned.  I believe the train she uses goes through Charleston so it may be suspended for a bit.

I agree with you -- Dorian has really slowed down.

Nice not having a ship at the AJ dock blocking the view.

We have the same kind of weather here as they are having in Juneau right now, only we're a little warmer.

Hard to see anything with all the rain on the lens.

Doesn't look like a nice day to be doing excursions. Dress warm.

I think those on the NA who booked the Tracy Arm tour in an enclosed boat will be happy with their choice today.
