From Windy.com it looks like 4 to 5 meter seas around NZ until they get about a day out from Sydney when the sea should flatten out.

 

My theory is that NZ cruises should be left until December through March. October is just a bit early.

Agreed, I think January is the best time to visit.

Ruby is in Tauranga today , then it’s off around NZ . I agree and think it’s too early to be cruising around NZ. There are still some nasty storms around that blow in from the south .
