Summit or Equinox?

Recommended Posts

Hi! We are booking shortly on the Summit or the Equinox in a Aquaclass cabin.

The Equinox is the western Caribbean and the Summit is Southern Caribbean.

We have been to all the islands so we do not have a preference.

What would my cruising experts on CruiseCritic suggest?

I'd say this is a tough one.

Was on Equinox in Feb and it was definitely one of the best cruises I've ever been on. We were a "Girl's group" and were pleased to have our 1st & best ever woman butler. Her direct boss & boss's boss were also women and service level higher than ever! Their anticipation of our every need was unsurpassed. Then there was Captain Kate- sorry  that she no longer there.

Ok- we went on Summit to Bermuda on 7/28- and loved the redo  of a nice older ship. Always liked the M class ships, but were in need of the makeover. Not only did the ship look brand new- the food offerings were wonderful.

Hope this info is helpful but I would have to flip a coin between 2 great choices.

Meg

The Summit is my favorite ship. Equinox is wonderful also but there is something extra special about the Summit. The ship is smaller but for us it is the perfect size. I’ve sailed on Summit 5 times in the past 4 years and each time it was amazing. The crew is outstanding and really go the extra mile for the passengers. Smaller ship/more personal service. The food is very similar to the Equinox except for the buffet which had more selections on Equinox. I’ve also sailed on Equinox 3 times in the past few years.

Have a great cruise on the Summit!
