Disembarking in Savona worried

Hi all

we finish our cruise at Savona on the 6000 pax Smeralda . I believe it was originally scheduled for 9.00am but checked tonite and it was  now on web site being 9.30am.

I booked and paid for non refundable train tickets to Verona departing 12.02pm .  I pre paid for a taxi to take us from the ship to the main  train station .

Worried now . Never been on a costa before .  On  RC, MSC or carnival always self carry off and aim to be off ASAP .

Can anyone see huge issues making this train ?

Kind regards

You are in a much better position than the other poster asking almost the same question for Barcelona.

The maybe another ship in port on the same day, but don't worry (no BUTs this time):

* Savona is only used by Costa

* Costa own the cruise terminals

* So everything is under Costa's control and organised chaos (but it works)

* Ships embarking and disembarking are a daily occurance

* Do self embarcation, arrange with Guest Relations while onboard

* Get to the self disembakation line early

* Which main train station Savona or Genoa

* Savona station is about 10 minutes drive

* Genoa station is about 1 hour drive

It seams you have everything covered, so only thing now is to enjoy your cruise.

PS. If the ship is late, from yor Tag you could always paraglide to the station.🍻

No problem, always useful reference for other cruisers.

The only fools on a cruise are those that book a flight at 07:00 and the ships arrives at 08:00.

No hard feelings, after the Ashes - I need a beer.

If you have any other questions - just ask.

Mate

Thank you.     Steve SMITH is the difference.  But appears both sets of openers cant bat to save themselves lately.  If we dont win the last one I will be disappointed.

Busy trying to find things to do in each port now.   So under prepared for this Costa trip. I can hear the whinging family when we arrive now....

Even roughing Steve Smith up did not stop him in the recent test. I cannot bear to watch. One of the reasons why I stopped watching SA cricket. Oh the days when we lived in Cape Town and had access to a box at Newlands.

Good luck with your research. Shout if you want some advise. I might be able to help. Been round the Med lots.

As for Ron-how do you manage to watch cricket in Germany?

Riana, Germany is not so a technology backwood as some people think. We get BBC News, Sky News & Sports, also BBC & Sky streaming services.

Also my home town is also the home of the German Cricket Board.
