Early dining question? Valor

Recommended Posts

We have early dining.

Question is can we be a little late 5 minutes what is the grace time.

We we’re on the Vista last year with anytime.

Looking forward to this ship!!

we have been on the Glory and Dream too and actually liked them both better than the Vista!

Supposedly they are enforcing the 15 minute rule, but I saw a party seated 40 minutes late on late dining a few weeks ago.

Don't be that rude person,  5 minutes is ok.

I wish they would enforce the 15 minute rule, but I have never personally witnessed it. On almost every cruise I have been on lately I have seen people show up in the MDR 15 - 45 minutes late. And when the late group is in your wait staff’s section, the service at your table goes downhill as the staff scrambles trying to serve the late group.

We once had a couple at our shared 8-top table show up about 25 minutes late every.single.night.  Come ON people! Get a clue!!

I am just thinking that I will get lost and be a few minutes late

You can always find the dining room ahead of time. It does not move, the ship is the only thing that moves.

Since you have set time (unless 5 minutes late) you will be in the Washington Dining Room. Deck 3 Aft (back) if that helps.

Happy Sailing

Assigned dining is also on the upper level of the midship dining room.  You can be assigned to either one.

Good to know, We started doing your time and we usually go as soon as they open. We don't eat in the MDR as much as we used to, but we do enjoy it. We will be on Valor on the 28th.

Easiest thing is son't be late.  It is extremely rude to your table mates.

You can only get to the aft dining room by using the aft elevators--   get off deck 5   walk to the back   and go down a deck or 2 to get to your table.
