Question for NCL Gamblers

What kind of things do you get the Casino Host to comp for you at the end of your NCL cruise?

Looks like you've cruised on NCL frequently so I'm thinking if you haven't gotten any comps at this point your play is not at that level.

If you have received comps and are just trying to compare with other players....in addition to my automatic $400 OBC for being Ruby level, my folio comps generally run $600-$1K on a 7-day cruise.

That's on top of your comp cruise, of course. 😁

You get $1 in comps for every 100 points you earn in the casino. So for every $500 you put into a machine you get $1 free. LOL!

Other then that, unless you're putting in tens of thousands of dollars you're not getting anything extra. On my 5 day cruise I cycled thru just shy of $10,000 and the only thing I got was the $16 in comps from my points. The cruise lines are getting more and more stingy. In Vegas my level of play gets me a free room whenever I want and a few other comps.

Not true.  But if you earned $16 from your points that means you got roughly 1600 points.  You are correct at that level you won't see folio comps.

1,600 points = $8,000 thru a machine...so yes, unless you're cycling thru tens of thousands of dollars thru the machines you don't get any folio comps. You just contradicted yourself. $20,000 thru a machine = 4,000 points

Folio comps are not based on how much money you are "cycling" through the machine.  Again, if you are are earning 1600 points on a 5-day cruise, your ADT & bankroll is not at the level that will earn folio comps with NCL.

As I posted earlier, my folio comps average $600-$1K per cruise.  I have never LOST "tens of thousands of dollars" in any casino anywhere.

Perhaps you need to pay a little more attention to what is posted. Nobody said you have to LOSE tens of thousands of dollars. I have, however, on more than one occasion said "you're cycling thru tens of thousands of dollars" which is a completely different thing. So before you jump the gun again...I suggest you read a little slower.

I suggest you remember what you post.  "Cycling" tens of thousands is not the same as "putting in tens of thousands".

I'm sorry you are not getting the comps you think you deserve, however I can't help you there.  My response to this thread was to the OP who asked what NCL offers in terms of "end of cruise" (folio) comps.  I shared my experience which contradicts your statement that NCL doesn't give folio comps unless you "put in" tens of thousands.  You are wrong about that, but I guess you didn't realize that when you posted because you assumed everyone has the same experience as you.

Not so.

"Putting in" and "Cycling thru" as I used in my 2 posts prior to your post...are DIFFERENT than "losing tens of thousands of dollars". Cycling thru and putting in have the same exact meaning. While you're not physically putting in the money, you are in fact putting in money every time you hit spin on a machine. You're moving it from your balance into the machine. Just admit you didn't comprehend my post and jumped to conclusions and you'll be ok.

I also never said I deserve certain comps. I was actually surprised my play earned me a free sailing up to 5 days so maybe take a breath, and read everything twice because putting words in peoples mouths is generally frowned upon.

I get comps.  I am just curious what kind of charges they have taken off for you in addition to your status comp.  Spa visits? Jewelry?  Excursion fees? etc

I am trying to figure out where best to spend my money because I dont want to leave comps on the table

All of those as well as specialty dining, gift shop (including specialty shops like Carolina Herrera), liquor, expensive camera (I checked first on that one - the Escape casino host told me she couldn't pay for a camera - but the Gem host did agree to pick it up), photos.  Anything but gratuities or CruiseNext.

You need to calm down. 😂  The OP posed a question about comps to understand what is offered.  If you have NO experience getting comps from NCL, I'm not sure why you are still in this discussion.

I always have cosmetics on my account (Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc).  Sometimes a name-brand purse.  On occasion they have accidentally(?) or on purpose comped $100 towards the net cost of my two CruiseNext certificates (should be 250 but net was 150). I really don't think that's suppose to happen but I'm not complaining.  It's always a surprise that last night what they comp!   I really haven't had them tell me no on a specific item.    I'm usually earning 7 to 10 thousand points in a week.

Also, the last 4 cruises I've gotten a watch ($200-400) for myself or my spouse.  I love the Citizen Eco-Drive😊

Easier to say what they won't comp.  casino cash, service fees & cruisenext deposits.
